Bolton said the "blatant" attack in public reminds him of North Korea, "Moscow's friend," murdering Kim Jong Un's brother in the middle of an airport last year.
"It's an act of defiance. It's saying to London and the other western capitals, 'what are you gonna do about it?' Well, I think there should be a very strong answer to that," he said, arguing the time has come for real "deterrence" that Vladimir Putin will understand.
John Bolton said Thursday that the chemical poisoning of a former Russian spy and his daughter in England fits into the larger pattern of Russia and similar regimes making peaceful promises and then lying about them.
The former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said that not only is the attack itself significant, but so is the fact that it is in violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
"What does it take to get people to connect the dots?" "Russia, China, Syria, Iran, North Korea...these are regimes that make agreements and lie about them."
Sergei Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, were found unconscious on a bench in the English city of Salisbury on March 4 after being poisoned with a “very rare” nerve agent, Fox News reported.
In a meeting Wednesday at the United Nations, U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley condemned Russia over the attack.
"If we don't take immediate, concrete measures to address this now, Salisbury will not be the last place we see chemical weapons used," Haley said.
In a further response to the attack, U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May expelled 23 Russian diplomats.

Though, I’d have to read up on Bolton’s career again, I do know, the Iraq war is in no way owned by Bolton, he had nothing to do with that.
He also, may be there for Trump, to clean up, drain the swamp, get rid of the Obama leftovers and things like that. He’s been a good soldier for Trump in all he has said. I don’t think he will have the authority to get us into a hot war.
Pat Buchanan is a good guy but it doesn’t mean everything he says is so and he has been a stooge for Putin, more often than not.

I am over the moon that John Bolton will at last join the Trump administration. McMaster was an antisemite and I feel he was actively working against Trump and therefore the American people. Never heard anything good about him. His role in the early Trump administration almost certainly resulted from bad advice to Trump, just as Priebus, Flynn, Yates, and Tillerson did. Hopefully Trump is learning who is who, and who will be a genuine asset to his administration.

Trump is an effective boss. He is kind to those in lower positions.

There are many Russian agents in the UK that MI5 is aware of. They mostly watch and monitor them to see what the hell they are up to. Perhaps a few should die via tragic accidents or just a single 22 long rifle slug to the head fired at close quarters. This would send a message to Russia that is clear and simple. Do not kill in our nation!
Might be the story floating around that Guccifer 2.0, who allegedly hacked the DNC server, is a Russian intelligence agent who briefly corresponded with some guy from Trump's campaign team.
Apparently, Mueller has now taken charge of the Guccifer investigation.
