The City of Miami Beach in Florida is so annoyed by the army of spring breakers descending on its beaches for wild parties fueled by alcohol and drugs that it’s considering a drastic, if a little bizarre, countermeasure.

One elected city official suggested playing classical music, such as Mozart, at loud volumes to break up parties on the beach.

That's according to a report in The Miami Herald, which said the city's commissioners were juggling ideas on how to tackle spring break partygoers after a chaotic weekend.

Rock me Amadeus!!! I wonder with international travelers and like has Spring Breakers become a negative for major sites like Miami. Miami should give Spring Breakers free bus tickets to South Padre Island, TX. It seems that place welcomes the mob.

It will be interesting to see if Miami really wants to throw away several hundred million dollars in revenues. Pile an 11% tourist tax on top of that and I'll bet the State will have a thought or two, as well.

I got a better idea. Ban Spring breaks altogether. Why do they need a week off anyway? At most give them a 4 day weekend at Easter weekend. I know it’s the post Christian snowflake era of pc morons of low character.

Why don't they just stop issuing the permits required to turn the beaches into outdoor rock concerts/beer tents/wet t-shirt contests? Because local businesses make $$, that's why.
