The FBI is investigating a $150,000 payment that the publisher of the National Enquirer made to a second woman who claims she had an affair with the president, according to a report Tuesday.
The agency executed a search warrant Monday targeting President Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, that included a request for documents related to Cohen’s payment of $130,000 to stripper Stormy Daniels. The porn star has said she had an affair with Trump.
But the feds also want to know about a payment made by American Media Inc., which owns the Enquirer, to former Playboy model Karen McDougal, sources told the New York Times. AMI’s chief executive is a personal friend of Trump’s, the paper said without identifying the person.
McDougal claims that she had a nearly yearlong affair with Trump in 2006.
The FBI also is seeking documents related to Cohen’s ownership of “numerous” New York City taxi medallions, CNN said...

You already know that Rosenstein had been entrusted to find any evidence of “criminal collusion” by Team Trump.

Ergo, DJT can not possibly be convicted in Court (a valid court, anyway) of an unchargeable offense (one cannot be charged with a crime that has never been considered as “criminal”!) If they’re really going after Cohen for agreements between individuals with Daniels and McDougal then it just goes to show how much of a fishing expedition this is. There’s no there there.

The point is this is a referral from Muelass. It is an entirely separate matter from the “collusion crap”. This is going to go on and on which each referral. This has the appearance of an election finance crime, nothing more BUT it could be a felony and Cohen is an attorney....a conviction would kill him. So, they use this referral to kick off an investigation on Cohen, hope to pen him in on a charge be it false statement on loan application or election finance, one of which can be a misdomeanor, and give him the option of going either way, felony or misdomeanor his choice. If that does not pan out, more referrals will come later. Meanwhile, Muleass is closing up his stuff with a report “not criminal but HIGHLY improper which the house under the coming Dems will call a high crime. The playbill is out, act III coming soon.
why do media keep using the word, ‘affair’ ? An affair implies an intimate relationship over a period of time. An alleged one-hour stand isn’t an ‘affair’. It’s a bootie call.

Why not Trumps dental records, vacations, auto repair bills, rent payments, medical records, grocery receipts, golf scores (mulligans?), school records, meal plans, shoe size, etc..

First off, assistant us attorneys are not appointed by the president. The USA is but in this case, he was recused from this matter and Rosen$hit approved the search warrant.

Be patient, the big ones come later.
The US Attorney in the Southern District of New York, who was appointed by Trump, recused himself and played no part in approving the search warrant. I have no problem with Cohen being investigated by the government for crimes he may have committed. What troubles me is that the so-called crimes involving Stormy Daniels, and the owner of the National Enquirer seem to have no link to the Russia “collusion” investigation. The search, approved by Rosenstein, continues the open-ended hunt for anything with which to smear Trump. That is the real problem.
