In before the cries of “Cultural Appropriation”.
[The menu doesn’t indicate if the jambalaya has sausage or seafood. Let’s hope the Trumps’ jambalaya isn’t just a pilaf.]
Well, considering that it’s going to be served with lamb, I would imagine sausage and seafood would NOT be included in the dish...
Yum!
The other article said Lamb Chops w Carolina Rice and French Grapes grown in Oregon.
What? No crawdads?
I don’t see jambalaya on the menu. And since Andy Jackson whipped some French butt in Naw’lins, is Cajun food appropriate? Just getting in before the liberal media figures it out.
Personally, I’d serve him Muslim food so he’d feel at home.
South Carolina gold rice.

Miss M, I hope you sent Melania your lamb recipe.
You can’t have Crumbles without Crumbs (H/T to Qanon)
“Jambalaya, crawfish pie and fillet gumbo
For tonight, I’m-a gonna see my ma cher a mi-o”
>>scented with the trinity of Cajun cooking — celery, peppers, and onions,
No okra?
All will be well unless the Soup Nazi serves the jambalaya.
Where the heck do you get good nectarines this time of year? Plus lamb sucks. Should be serving BEEF! A “scent” of the trinity? The trinity, especially in jambalaya, should be savored and swallowed and should add depth to the meal...
Around 50 years ago, after hearing the Hank Williams song, I asked my parents about it. They both were familiar with Jambalaya and File Gumbo, but they had never heard of anyone eating Crawfish Pie.
They also were familiar with Poke Salad which they said was more popular up North than in the South.
I am pretty sure Mother said that File was a spice made from Sassafras leaves but my memory could be off.
They both grew up in the Florida Panhandle and were not familiar with Cajun Culture but apparently some of it was just Southern.
whats burnt cipellini soubise??
and for desert.......some of “Justin Tubbs “ Gumbo, made with his special Rhue.
No such thing as jambalaya cooked in a New Orleans tradition.
Yum.
