MANCHESTER, N.H. (Reuters) - Enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is waning among millennials as its candidates head into the crucial midterm congressional elections, according to the Reuters/Ipsos national opinion poll.
The online survey of more than 16,000 registered voters ages 18 to 34 shows their support for Democrats over Republicans for Congress slipped by about 9 percentage points over the past two years, to 46 percent overall. And they increasingly say the Republican Party is a better steward of the economy.
(snip)
Terry Hood, 34, an African-American who works at a Dollar General store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and took this years poll, said he voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
But he will consider a Republican for Congress because he believes the party is making it easier to find jobs and he applauds the recent Republican-led tax cut.
It sounds strange to me to say this about the Republicans, but theyre helping with even the small things, Hood said in a phone interview. Theyre taking less taxes out of my paycheck. I notice that.

Now if the Republicans would just clearly side with the citizens and the rule of law against illegal aliens they could clean up.
But first we have to clean out the Bush League Republicans hell bent on making America into North Mexico.
“It’s the economy, stupid”. Always.
Tax cuts were good, omnibus was bad.
Millennial fear factor on the debt is not something to overlook. Jobs and wages are a more immediate factory, but that spending bill screwing their future was not a good move
The Blue Wave is turning into a ripple.
Blue Waaaaaaaave lololol
The data here is far more explosive than the headline suggests. Read it and enjoy it. What it shows is the media can not smother the truth from even casual observers. The kids aint buying Democrat/media lies anymore.
And then they hear Kanye as a free thinker...
If the Democrats lose the Millennials, the Democrats won’t win another Presidential election or ever control either House of Congress.
They don’t have another Conor Lamb up their sleeve.
Millennials are noticing two things:
1) It’s easier to FIND A JOB.
2) When they get a paycheck at that job, there are LESS TAXES and MORE TAKE-HOME PAY.
I believe that this number will start to increase after the whole lot of them see the videos of how stupid Congress looked and acted and spoke, when viewing both the Zuckerberg meetings and the Diamond and Silk attempted dogpiles by the Democrat Plantation porch monkeys.
