I also have 5 (5 gallon) plastic gas cans with the old spouts.
I bought cans and or spouts online. Sometimes throwing away smaller cans just to get the spouts.
They are safe, easy to use, and eliminated the troublesome separate vent.
Banning these spouts (STUPID idea) put one of the biggest gas can manufacturers out of business.
This idea was a solution looking for a problem. They couldn’t find a problem, but that didn’t stop them from implementing their solution anyway.
Just like removing (legislatively) phosphates from dishwasher detergent, I had to go online to purchase a product that would actually clean my dishes.
Thank you “bubbleBANDIT”!
Shop around for the best price.
“I guard them as if they were gold.”
indeed ...
Yeah, mine lack the vent, but they still pour okay, could be better though.
“Also I have one old style nozzle that I have to shift
around to fill various engines.”
take a look at these:

I keep them in the shed. All plastics will fail eventually if left in the sun.
Same here.
NOT this one! No good. It has the separate vent that breaks off and the cap becomes detached from the can and is so small it is easily lost.
What you need is one of these.

never mind the article, I chose it for the photo.
Here you can see just the spouts. Shop around.

I sometimes go to tag sales with my wife. I dislike them, its like buying the same garbage that I want to throw out at home. However, one time I spotted an old fashioned gas can. It is now used weekly. I love that can.
We have half a dozen “jerry cans” made in Germany. Picked them up several years ago at a military surplus store. They are still in good condition.
I live pretty close to Quebec, so I buy my gas cans there.
Even though environmental crazies are very powerful in Canada, their gas cans are still excellent.
I agree. The leftist gained control over the GD gas cans and totally eff’ed them up too! Some of them are the most obnoxious designs imaginable.
I mean, is there anything these leftist wack jobs don’t totally eff up?
Why does that gas can have a set of instructions on it?
Are they joking?
uh pour slowly perhaps?
Only thing in my mower is non-ethanol marine gas.
Something else I noted on your gas can. It’s 1 1/4 gallon?
That’s really odd.
That’s what we still have in the little fishing boat. It had been years since I had been at our cabin. I grabbed the fishing boat can and then a couple of ten gallon cans for my sister’s ski boat. Offered to run the 10 miles to the main road and get gas.
I was pretty shocked when the total price came up. “Jeez - when I was a kid this would have cost $7 up!!”
And the warning instructions are missing numerous items, like don’t carry this while climbing a ladder, not for stripping paint indoors, etc.
They make several sizes up to and including 5 gal. You can fill a chainsaw with a five gal. No-Spill and not spill mix all over.
