The OSBI has found new evidence linking a wind energy group to the political consultant who had a state legislator tracked, The Oklahoman has learned.
"It's pretty obvious," Rep. Mark McBride said of the evidence from the subpoenaed phone records of Texas political consultant George C. Shipley.
McBride, R-Moore, has blamed the wind industry ever since finding a GPS tracker on his pickup the evening of Dec. 4. He was told about the new evidence Thursday when a special agent from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation reinterviewed him.
After going through the phone records, they have matched phone calls between George Shipley and Jeffrey Clark, the president of The Wind Coalition, to specific dates I had given them on my suspicions of being followed or tracked," McBride said.
McBride has been an outspoken critic of the wind industry and has called for wind farms in Oklahoma to pay more in taxes. Clark has denied that The Wind Coalition, a trade association, had anything to do with the tracking incident.
Clark repeated his denial Friday.
"Once again, neither I nor The Wind Coalition has ever hired George Shipley or his company to do any work in any state," Clark said.
Note this is on the heels...of finding out the state is forking over $70 MILLION a year...to wind energy companies. FREE MONEY..to them!!

Someone didn’t do their job right.
How do you find a GPS tracker unless you get really lucky, you’re really paranoid, or someone put it in a very bad spot?
They were tracking him in hopes he would do something they could use in blackmailing him. The Wind group is left wing. Explains how many usually reliable Conservatives end up supporting something the exact opposite of what is expected.

Maybe was tipped off...
Heck...I'm not a politician...or a "somebody"..but I watch my six...and head on a swivel pretty much all the time.
FWIW--
The GPS tractor needs power if it’s going to work for long periods of time.
It really wouldn’t take much to find one unless the person who installs it is very very determined that it not be found.
The vehicle I am in right now has one in it and it’s about the size of a cigarette light lighter.

70 million a year....will buy you a lot of politicians and graft and illegal crap.
What I find funny and ironic...is the lefty NEA...must have their panties in a wad....because they want windmills....but don't want them to get subsidized.
Because that's $$$ they want...and demand. LOL!!!

It will also depend on what type of Geo-tracker you are using.
If you want to know where your subject is in real time the tracker will have a transmitter so you have to place the tracker where it can get a signal out and that means it will be visible from some angle.
If you just want to know where he has been you plant a tracker that just records location and time then the tracker can be well hidden.
Maybe it drained the battery and the car had to be checked out.........
Not trying to go way OT, but if you’re a PI, LEO, or other type of investigator, you may not want or need to track for significant periods, so I just assumed you’d have something that could run on it’s own for days or weeks. With today’s technology, that doesn’t seem unreasonable.
Of course...you are correct.
And I think they know it.....The "fixer" is a known Democrat operative...
Perhaps all public officials should have to have these devices, or better yet ankle bracelets and body cameras, 24/7.
I would add shock collars...............

My initial reaction, as well ! Those teacher who Walked Out ought to be enlightened, instead of just blindly following the Union line...
