BRAIN FREEZE: Al Gore Says Trump Challenging ‘HEART AND SOUL’ of Democracy
THE SEAN HANNITY SHOW ^ | monday may 21 | 55KRC

“When the heart and soul of our democracy is being challenged, what have you done?” he said. “What will you do?”

Some 7,500 of the university’s 40,000 students earned their degrees in a ceremony at Xfinity Center on the state’s flagship campus in College Park.

A committee of students chose Gore to speak at their graduation, and his address included what he acknowledged were commencement cliches. He quoted Spanish poet Antonio Machado in encouraging the students not to fear failure; he invoked Nelson Mandela in calling on them to reject hatred and resentment.

But at its heart, his speech was political. The Democrat who served with President Bill Clinton urged the audience of early 20-somethings to prove wrong the statistics showing their demographic votes in smaller numbers than older citizens.

“What if, in this year and the years immediately following, something truly extraordinary happened?” Gore said. He said he hoped to see “an American youth movement” that will vote in “unprecedented numbers and reclaim the integrity of American democracy.”

Liberals always accuse their opposition of doing what they are doing.

Thus, when they have created an apparatus of Secret Police to suppress and criminalize their political enemies, they accuse Republicans of striking at the heart of our democracy.

Al Gorp?

You mean he doesn’t understand that using opposition research , paying Russians for it, calling it real when its fake, and then FISA warrant spying on politicians and ordinary Americvans by unmasking them is what? Democratic?

All Gorp needs to do a lot more global swarming. He is simply a part of the political racketeering crime syndicate that has attempted a coup on a duly elected president.Lock them all up, use the federal RICO statute.

Next we’ll have draft dodger: Screaming Howard Dean, Vermont’s village idiot, saying more of the same.

I’m sure everyone will drop to their collective knees and believe them./S

Their Joseph Goebbels style propaganda won’t make a dent on the Drain the Swamp movement.

What gets me is how Al Gorp has avoided being charged by the SEC with insider trading. As I understand it he would get involved in BS green companies get awarded a ton of stock in the company for being on the “board of directors” then when he got taxpayer money invested in it, the stock would go up and he would dump the stock at a huge profit then the company would crash and burn because it was a BS company to begin with and then he would move on to the next company raising his net worth to almost half a billion. This guy has never held a job since 2001 and never had a job that paid him more than $230K a year yet he’s worth the same as Mick Jagger who for the past 55 years has been in one of the worlds most profitable RnR bands. Insider trading pays.

Is that the same Al Gore that lost to W because he could even carry his home state of Tennessee?

All Gorp knows how to make an SEC filing. He obviously has a deep state liberal fascist racketeering contact to give him the grease.

I hate these elitist leftist ba$tards who now hold our country hostage, literally.

Exactly

This from the guy that held an election hostage and forced the USSC to decide a Presidential election

He could only do this in front of an audience too young to remember the chaos he dragged the country through

I think that Al Gore meant to say that the heart and soul of socialist government fantasy is being challenged. Our country was well under way to be more like Venezuela than Sweden, with the corruption and deep state embedded in our government since the Clinton days in office.

I am surprised that the college selected him to speak. Maybe that institution also needs to be purged of leaders and teachers with disordered minds.

Me sister drove me past Carthage Tennessee not too long ago, and told me the story of Al Gore and his assumption that he would win the presidency.

A new (large) Holiday Inn style Hotel was built to accommodate staff and Secret Service, a new Cloverleaf was put in in anticipation of increased the traffic and ease of access from the area in case of emergencies, Airfield was upgraded (and other infrastructure) to support visits of Al Gore as president along with a sizable entourage, diplomats, etc.. in accompaniment.

Needless to say he didn’t win, but not before a lot of state/federal dollars were spent needlessly on all these upgrades in a sleepy little hollow called Carthage Tennessee.

“It’s a Representative Republic.”

And there you go. If the left truly wants a democracy, then steps have to be taken to ensure it is pure. The first step is scrubbing the voter rolls to represent true numbers. Until that happens, there can never be a true democracy. And the reason that won’t happen is because once the rolls are scrubbed, Democrats will see that they are still the minority.

Trying to use the fact that Hillary beat Trump in the popular vote only because she won California by the margin doesn’t mean she won the rest of the country.

Liberals/progressives/democrats like to project their own crimes onto others. They fail to look at themselves and what they did. It must be a psychological coping mechanism.

What the liberals/progressives/democrats refuse to admit is that their own party and leadership hurt democracy when they spied on the campaign of the opposition party. That is so banana republic - a hallmark of the corrupt, valueless democrat party.

They should be called the UN-democratic party.

Jagger would be even richer in that time if Alan Klein hadn’t stolen away the US publishing on their Decca songs and the UK government not pushed them into tax exile (where they left for France and wrote Exile on Main Street in the 70s).

But yeah, Al Gore is a big creep and a con-man.

Message to Al Gore - the administrative/regulatory state is not the heart and soul of “democracy”. In fact it was created to avoid the use of “democracy” - elected representatives - to form the details of law (regulation) and to use opaque law to empower a rogue DOJ to interpret it and pursue it as it sees fit.

This is why the Left is so up in arms. The Marxists and Progressives see the administrative/regulatory state as their creation and created to serve their purposes, which is “rule by the experts”, their experts, not the people’s representatives in Congress or the executive.

Good.
I want democracy dead.
This is supposed to be a republic, with laws to temper the whims of the majority.

CITIZENSHIP Democracy:

A government of the masses. Authority derived through mass meeting or any other form of “direct” expression. Results in mobocracy. Attitude toward property is communistic—negating property rights. Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whether is be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences. Results in demogogism, license, agitation, discontent, anarchy
