I came home in '67 and I DID eventually carry a brief case for a few years.

This painting has been stuck in my head since I first saw it.

There are many, many photos and memes all over the internet today and this weekend, but this one is stare and study worthy.

Came home in ‘70...

Like you, this one picture says all that needs to be said...

I hate the wall...It was built below ground level, in my opinion as if to say it should be out of sight...

The wall is dark...It is dark shining...The wall is rememberance, both bleak and uplifting

I LOVE THE WALL...

A beautiful wall——but I was annoyed as hell when it was being built-———where the hell was the memorial to the approx. 35,000 guys who died in Korea——in just three years.

The forgotten war.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is located in Washington, D.C.’s West Potomac Park, southeast of the Lincoln Memorial and just south of the Reflecting Pool on the National Mall. It memorializes those who served in the Korean War.

I KNOW that but it was built years later—sort of an “Oops,we forgot about you” memorial.

Yes, BIL Don was a Korean War Vet. We have a family history of Veterans since WW2 most buried under our Flag now. Some of the Nam Vets still live, and the new generation have just started to serve.
