Full Title: The Department Of Homeland Security Plans To Compile A List Of All Bloggers, Journalists And “Social Media Influencers”

Many were hoping that once Barack Obama was out of office we would see less of this Big Brother surveillance nonsense, but instead it seems to be getting even worse. In fact, the Department of Homeland Security has just announced that it intends to compile a comprehensive list of hundreds of thousands of “journalists, editors, correspondents, social media influencers, bloggers etc.”, and collect any “information that could be relevant” about them. So if you have a website, an important blog or you are just very active on social media, the Department of Homeland Security is going to put you on a list and will start collecting information about you. The DHS has already announced that it will hire a contractor to aid in monitoring media coverage, and they will definitely need plenty of help because it is going to be a very big job…

Wait, Sept 2017 was Trump. Probably in the works for a long time. Trump should quash this.

“Probably in the works for a long time.” The solicitation was Sept 17, indeed it was in the works for a while. I doubt Trump is aware of it.

“All” = Conservatives

Because the list will be compiled by the Left Wing Deep State staff at DHS.

Along with the Patriot Act.

Remember all the armor and ammo procured by DHS. Makes you wonder who the “enemy” is.

In 2017 the Department of Homeland Security budget was $40.6 billion, that they let us see anyhow. It has 240,000 + employees that it claims, and is the third largest Cabinet department, after the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.

You could build a nice wall for 40 billion. Just sayin.

that person did not understand the value of money.

Yup. I bet there is a sizable portion of citizens who couldn’t even tell you what DHS stands for, much less what it supposedly costs per year. We are the fattest, most entertained and disengaged people in known history.

All this agitation about coming up with the money to build a wall or at least some type of physical barrier on the southern border is so much kabuki theatre.

McCarthy didn’t do that to Hollywood.

He didn’t appear on the scene until February 1950. You are thinking of the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) which was a committee in the House, not the Senate which McCarthy belonged to.

For what it is worth, McCarthy was spot on about his specific issue, which started out as communists in the State Department, and ended with Communists in the Defense establishments.

He has been shown by archives to be right on nearly every person he targeted.

Look up the % of eligible voters that don’t bother voting. Look up the turnout for national, state local and off year elections. These people have outnumbered any single political party for 100+ years even for presidential elections. State, local and off year election turnout are usually way less than 40%.

In Va, elections are between mid-terms and Presidential elections, which means elections every year.

I have to drag myself to the polls for state elections, political campaigning never ends here.

and during mid-terms/Presidential years I get the joy of having to put up with ads from Tennessee and Kentucky as well.

close to the border of both, unfortunately. Politics even vitally important elections can be hard to get motivated for because the crap never ends for those stuck in VA.

Funny, I put a flag counter on my FR home page. I get a few hits a week from a US Anonymous Proxy Server.

I had put up a page around 2010 that showed the inconsistencies of Obamas passport that was shown on the video from the WH. Shortly after , I had visits from the State Dept and DHS ( as well as a few sites in Arlington, VA and Reston , VA ). I found the screenshots I made of the State Dept visits ( couldn't find the others,I have them somewhere ). Anyway, here is the State Dept screenshot:
