Exactly, and both races are exposed to the same economic downturns, the same video games, the same abandonment of faith, and the same destruction of the family.
However, whites suicide at a far hight rate.
Why?
A bunch of different prescription drugs, many of which are vastly overprescribed, and a society that creates then coddles ‘snowflakes’ who are enraged by every little thing is the primary cause. The combination is deadly. Not only leading to suicide, but murder.
I was youtubing more on the topic just now and found that out, only to see your response after! Actually a video of Prince William pointing out that 75% of suicide victims are male. At least in the UK.

Since when are the above five "warning signs" NOT of "mental health" category?
The point of my response is this article isn't really about suicide. It's about the guns being used to commit suicide. It's another article by another gun grabber blaming guns for something the gun really had no intention of doing.
Yup. We are producing weak, unrealistic people.
Leftist bias may also explain why the linked article says nothing about the white/black suicide ratio, which was 15 to 6 in 2016.
The greatest increases were in red states. Could be conservatives with ODD (Obama Depression Disorder). I suspect that going forward from 2016, the rates will show a decrease in red states and an increase among TDS sufferers in blue states. :o)

Isolation plays a role. Suicide rates are higher in rural areas than in cities. Particularly high in the Mountain West. Not many African-Americans there. Suicide rates are lower in other parts of the country where more African-Americans live.
