I'm not familiar with Ryan Gosling but I've heard of him.
How about casting Vinnie Jones? He's cool.

I hope they didn’t butcher the real story too bad.

A major portion of it was filmed just down the street in the next subdivision from me here in good ol’ Roswell Georgia.....

Continuously reliving the past glories. We should be advancing and creating new glories.

Neil Armstrong was an intensively private man. A movie like this was only really possible after his passing.

My father was a member of the astronaut corps in the 60s as a trainer. He actually tried out to be one of the first two groups but was disqualified for a minor medical condition. Weve had Neil Armstrong at our home for dinner (I was very young and dont remember much).
Both of my children went to Purdue. My son was on a team led by Buzz Aldrin to do a Mars mission feasibility study as his senior project. He now works for one of the big rocket firms as a ballastician designing the boosters for the Mars rocket.
I am DEFINITELY stoked to see this film!

Nothing tells the story better than the historic films of NASA, it’s contractors, the museums and the recollections of the men and women who made it all happen.

It could have been about Buzz Aldrin.
George: It’s like I’m Neil Armstrong. I turn around for a sip of Tang and you jump out first.

So they’ll show the part when Armstrong was in the Hollywood Studio?
