This is great news for me as a Canadian! All this time I’ve had to nurse two bottles, one whiskey and the other being beaver secretions. It never occurred to me to simply mix them together because I’m from Quebec. Anyone know where one could find beaver secretions in the Philadelphia area? Eh?

Two centuries ago, mountain men baited their beaver traps with that stuff. I’ve seen some beaver dams on Admiralty Island that were mind blowing in size and amount of work performed.

Leaving aside all the other questions raised by this news, one wonders whose job it is to do the extracting from the animals. It is a very personal task, and beavers come ready to ably defend themselves.
It is a dirty job for Mike Rowe to explore.
