We know that David Lynch isn't one for convention and received wisdom, but declaring that Donald Trump “could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history” is up there with recasting David Bowie’s part from Fire Walk With Me to a kettle in the ‘oh, mate’ stakes.
Speaking to the Guardian, Lynch said: "[Trump] could go down as one of the greatest presidents in history because he has disrupted the thing so much. No one is able to counter this guy in an intelligent way."
Lynch doesn’t watch much John Oliver, clearly – he doesn’t really watch films either, according to the rest of the interview – and he’s less than impressed with the United States’ politicians at large.
"Our so-called leaders can’t take the country forward, can’t get anything done. Like children, they are. Trump has shown all this."

I spoke to him years ago here in L.A. He aint a crazy lib thats for sure. People remember him for Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet but people forgot he made The Straight Story which no profanity, sex, violence about an old dude wanting to see his brother before he dies. And that one got multiple Oscars.

Trump is what D.C. has needed for a long time. The human equivalent of a neutron bomb. Destroying the entrenched powers, but leaving the buildings intact. Who else would have unearthed the corruption in the FBI?

He cant be scared or bought off and he knows how to fight back, proactively. Not constrained by being a career politician in anyones pocket.
They cant stop him and manipulate the way they normally can. He doesnt care what they think.
Its why we need more regular patriots who are intelligent, not career politicians who live there forever, in these positions.

Ahhhh, and I searched David Lynch’s name and nothing came up. And now I see whoever posted these articles didn’t put in any keywords...
Donald J Trump was already at the Top of the Food Chain. That’s what it means when you are a Billionaire. Nobody could control him as he Worked his way up the ladder and they sure in the hell have no persuasion over him now. That’s why they are Scared Sh^tless, they Have NO IDEA what is coming Next and they can’t do anything about it.

Lynch is intelligent, and most people with true intelligence understand that Trump isn’t Republican, he isn’t Democrat... He’s Trump. What he does is for the betterment of the country he lives in and the country that made him a success. Trump truly loves his country and he isn’t beholding to anybody other than the American people.
The left and the media is full of unintelligent nabobs nattering on in their echo chamber. They think if they keep calling everybody who supports Trump a racist, or a bigot, that they will convince his supporters to abandon him. They’re as wrong about that as they were about Hillary winning the Presidency.
The nattering nabobs of negativism will always loose.
