The people who would counter protest have jobs they have to do.
I don’t expect the drive-byh media to cover any of it,
No point if no press coverage, but more importantly it is better to ignore them then to draw attention to their message.
We do better to carry along with our lives, be productive in society and work to elect the right people to office.

Those people get paid to agitate and no one takes them seriously - probably hired by a front group that Zero’s rabble-rousers hide behind.

Another big reason, is that anyone who might organize or thinks to organize counter protests realizes immediately that any media coverage will frame those protests as Gatherings of Nazis and racists. Which makes the exercise rather moot. Completely ineffective, in fact worse than ineffective. People who would counter-protest understand that the propaganda media would work against the aims of the potential protesters.
The people who would come out and participate in such protest understand that the only valid protest is at The Ballot Box and that is the end of it. We are law-abiding people, the law is already on our side, and we wish everyone else would obey it. There is nothing to be gained from protesting.
That is excellent news! I hope it’s a red tsunami in November.

Only an idiot would “counter” protest something that doesn’t exist.
People here won’t like my response but it’s twofold. Do majority of Americans like families being separated? No. And FLOTUS Melania Trump has said as much.
But at the same time the majority of Americans want SOMETHING done about the border. So it’s more nuanced than “pro ICE” or “anti ICE.” I personally don’t like that ICE exists, I wish we would send troops to the border, build a wall, keep the travel ban from terrorist-heavy countries, stop aiding corrupt Latin American regimes, and, stop overextending the welfare state here at home...but I don’t want a full-on police state here at home. I’m libertarian like that.
I’m hoping that the counter protest will be at the ballot box but I am concerned it might not.

Really....there were protests today all over the country... only an idiot would deny and claim there wasn’t.

A handful of booger eating morons here and there are not protestors, they’re annoyances.
I have no problem with ICE. Let policemen chase burglers and rescue dogs from frozen ponds, let the Border Patrol chase border jumpers and rescue abandoned toddlers at the border, let the FBI chase bank robbers and kidnappers and terrorists and let ICE clean up the illegals stealing jobs, identities and lives.
I think it’s good to have a healthy dose of mistrust of ANY government entity regardless of intention. Entities like TSA and ICE being more recent creations. It’s sad we need them at all. As I said, we need a WALL, troops at the border, the whole nine yards..we need to put a halt to a welfare state that gives people incentive to stay and milk the system. We need to stop giving aid and put more pressure on Latin American governments to address cartels, crime, human trafficking, etc...
