Could a gay hairdresser from New York City set off a mass exodus from the Democratic Party? A hashtag and a growing wave (not a blue one) of videos on YouTube and Facebook signal that the Democrats finally have gotten too crazy for at least some of their formerly faithful supporters. Celina Farber of the Epoch Times catalogues a growing wave of revolt against Democrats’ embrace of socialism and no borders and general insanity under the rubric of #Walkaway:

I am always reminded of “The Crucible” by Henry Miller. Ostensibly about the Salem Witch Trials of 1692, Miller was obviously commenting against McCarthyism in the 1950s.
In the play, young hysterical girls keep pointing at people (almost always women) and claiming that they are witches. The community, and the judge, take this seriously and imprison or kill a number of people.
Until the girls point to the wife of the judge.
Instantly: “These young hysterical girls have gone too far. They must stop their childish gameplaying. There are no witches. Anyone can see that. Everyone can go home. Just walk away. This game is over. Sorry about the dead people.”
He is still a liberal, in the classical sense. It’s the Democratic Party that has moved away from liberalism and become hardcore leftist. Ronald Reagan was the first public figure to #walkaway. When asked why he left the Democratic Party, Mr. Regan replied “I didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party left me.” That’s why Hillary lost the so-called blue wall. Those people who voted for Donald Trump didn’t leave the Democratic Party, the Democratic Party totally abandoned them.

I guess they find justification for this strange phenomenon in the fallacy the parties "switched" This in and of itself is hilarious.1. The same party that pushed Gun Control Laws when slaves were freed, pushes it now.
2. The same party that aligned itself with practices of Genocide against blacks [including unborn ones during slavery, aligns itself with Planned Parenthood now.
3. The same party that didn't want blacks to educate themselves during slavery, is the same party that's against school choice....now!
4. The same party that was racist towards blacks in cinema during Jim Crow, is the SAME party that prevents blacks from getting jobs in Hollywood now...shit even the actors [democrats] complain about this...when ALL the execs in H-Wood are dems...I could go on and on but you get my drift!!

This new lunatic fringe dem doesn't believe in liberalism the way it was defined before the radical left morphed into something hateful and ugly. The moderate dems still believe in free speech and protecting the rights of all Americans.
I stopped using the word "liberal" to describe leftists a couple of years ago because the word liberal no longer described this new extreme far left dem mindset. 'Leftist' covers it all. This new democrat isn't liberal at all IMHO; they are far too radical and extreme to embrace liberalism which is basically a fundamental belief in rights like free speech and, yes, a woman's right to chose. It doesn't include antifa and this new extreme far left thuggish bipolar mob mentality of today's dem.
I know liberals and religious conservatives will always disagree on the Pro-Life/Pro-Choice issue. I believe and hope someone in a leadership position will try to work something out by asking both sides to set aside that one issue so we may one day find common ground.
I'm as ready for CWII as the next right winger but If it is at all possible to reconcile and find common ground with the moderates (not extremists) instead; I'm willing to save that ammo for the real enemy. Extreme leftists.
If the official name of the party is Democratic then the proper noun for members of it should be Democratics shouldn’t it?

The #walkaway hashtag is amazing. I’ve been reading it for the last few days. People are absolutely fed up with the lies, intolerance, and cult like mentality of the left.
