Scientists discovered a new wasp species with a terrifyingly large stinger. Researchers from the University of Turku in Finland recently discovered the Clistopyga crassicaudata, which lives between the Andes mountains and the Amazon rainforests. "I have studied tropical parasitoid wasps for a long time, but I have never seen anything like it," said Ilari E. Sääksjärvi, a professor at the University of Turku. "The stinger looks like a fierce weapon."

They have aerosol cans that shoot a 15 foot stream.

I am probably 30 years older than your neighbor. I waited for the wasps to disperse and knocked the nest down. Then I took the shower.

According to http://www.amentinst.org/GIN/Rhyssinae/ “the subfamily Rhyssinae includes some of the most spectacular of all Ichneumonidae. These large conspicuous wasps, the females of which have very long ovipositors and may exceed 200 mm in length.”
Holy Smokes! The bug world is out to kill us all! Last week there was a story about spiders that use electricity to fly and they could zap us and kill us and now big hairy wasps with giant stingers that can run us through like stuck pigs! That’s it! I’m locking myself in the basement and hiding under and old tub. If anybody wants that’s where I am.
Is that a mounting pin or a stripper pole?
