The firestorm over NFL players disrespecting the national anthem is not over.
The NFL Players Association, a union that represents all NFL players, sued the NFL on Tuesday for their adoption of a new anthem policy. The NFLPA filed a grievance challenging new policy that forces all players to stand on the field during the anthem.
“The union’s claim is that this new policy, imposed by the NFL’s governing body without consultation with the NFLPA, is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement and infringes on player rights,” a press release from the union said.

The NFL, populated by idiots. Let it never be doubted, power (money) corrupts and brings on feelings of superiority and the ability to make demands others would never make. It gives a feeling of euphoria that causes the individual to believe in himself above all others and to think they are far more important than the average person. In fact, they are buffoons, clowns, imbeciles and just dull from the constant head hits.
Fire them. They can go exercise their rights to their heart’s content.
Roger Goodell managed to ruin the league by refusing to stop this stuff when it was just one guy, then just a handful of guys. Instead he let it fester, denied it was happening, then lied about why the league was in decline. He got a new sweetheart deal contract so he’s safe. But the wound he refused to cauterize until it was too late is still making the NFL bleed out.

They work under a contract. I don’t if it does or not, but it’s conceivable that the rule somehow violates their contract. That’s their dispute. “...is inconsistent with the collective bargaining agreement...”
I still haven’t seen any reporting on what this year’s season ticket sales look like compared to last year. Those numbers are absolutely known to the NFL by now.
The NFL brought this on themselves. I hope both sides tear each other to pieces as attendance figures and revenues free fall.
I was wondering the same thing.
I used to worry that liberals might one day succeed in destroying the NFL. But now that I know what anti-cop/anti-American brain dead pieces of garbage the players are, my only worry is that the NFL might somehow survive.
You can bet that if season ticket sales didn’t take a hit, THAT would be getting reported on.
The left is destroying the NFL because of its hate for America.
Owners need to man up and take these haters on.
What cause? They don't have a cause nor do they know what the cause is.
They absolutely should be making speeches or protesting somewhere this summer or it's a fake protest.

The numbers that really count are tv ratings. If ratings drop then networks will pay less to the NFL for their games which in turn means NFL will pay less to players. Once this trickle down effect occurs then the players will finally get it.
The NFL is in a death spiral of its own making, and they don’t even realize it.
