Good news for 3D Printing of weapons.
This reminded me of the Netflix Lost in Space series with a 3D Printer that wouldn’t allow the printing of a weapon without authorization. Then the Robot hacked it to protect Will Robinson.
Cody had a workaround solution going in the years since 2015. You can buy a bench top 3D milling machine from him that is programmed to machine an AR lower.
The 3D files for this and many guns have been in the wild for years, available for free download. Presumably anyone could buy their own 3D printer and use Cody’s already-released data for his design. But it is good to hear the ruling was in his favor.
