Mankind is apparently the only animal too stupid to not move if the sea levels are rising.

Gee, too bad the Internet isn’t like, you know, a network or a web-like structure with various alternate pathways and hubs, both hard-wired and wireless. Darn!
To: EdnaMode
Its ok. Climate change will have killed everyone, so we wont need internet anyway.

Want to get a whole bunch of people to really, really care about climate change and rising sea levels?
...
Obviously, telling the truth isn’t an option.

Sea levels have been falling since at least 1984.
Just look at any USC&GS bench adjustment sheet.

Better backup your TumblrWhy? Tumblr didn't build in its own redundancy in case of gradual global-warming-ocean-saltwater-fiberoptic line corrosion? There go all my vacation pictures. Oh, wait, they are on my hard drive. They had me scared for a nanosecond.
To: editor-surveyor
Yes. But I’m going with what the loons obviously believe about people.
Though in all fairness they’ve got NOLA as evidence....

Total BS. Fiber optic is already buried in wet locations, pretty much everywhere actually. If anything is immune, it's fiber optic cable. It is tough as nails. Ice storms pose more of a danger to communications than the so called effects of "global warming".

The experts are now saying that glass will rust.
To: EdnaMode
researchers at the University of WisconsinMadison and the University of Oregon found that thousands of miles of buried fiber optic cable are at risk of drowning under the rising seas

The world managed to live for millennia without internet. In some ways, it would be wonderful.
