Leno has got a cable show about cars that's in its 4th season. He most likely writes off a lot of his collection costs as business expenses.
Both Errol Flynn and John Wayne had financial managers and both went broke because their managers embellezed their money.
Hes very old and bad health
Racism for sure/sar
These folks believe their own press... and 'invest' in places that would make them 'look good' - large homes, upscale (but poorly run) restaurants etc... All of 'who they are' is on the outside and it's sad.
Exactly. They are actors with no fiscal discipline whatsoever.
Yes, it reminds me of the Clinton’s leaving the WH saying they were broke while filthy billions lay in the Clinton Foundation...such scum.
It’s probably pretty hard to find a decent, normal guy in the show business arena. Debbie was taken to the cleaners more than once. I think something similar happened to Judy Garland and even Dorothy Hamil (ice skater), didn’t it? Any good conman can likely fake it so the other person thinks they are trust worthy. It’s a shame.
Uh, substance abuse?
I refuse to call 82 old since I’ll be pushing it in 20 or so years. ;-) Reynolds also performed his own stunts for decades, so I imagine that took a toll on his body.
Must attack Seinfeld as he refuses to target Trump.
Nice boots, though.
Exactly correct. Dave and his team have councseled people in professional sports, entertainment, and your run-of-the-mill millionaire. Any one of the people mentioned in the article could still be millionaires if they had impulse control and a little common sense.
By the way, Baby Step 6 here for years. Should be at BS 7 in a couple of years. It works. Period.
Sheep Dip Johnny's shenanigans one day will get him dead or in prison where he will be drinking something else and not from a fancy glass or a straw.
Too much money spent on mansions, cars, and other frivolous items.
Years ago Burt was trying to become a "serious actor," but the money from the Smokey and the Bandit and Cannonball Run movies was too much to turn down.
If he'd gone the serious route, he would have had less money but maybe he would have managed it better.
Easy come, easy go.
I never could understand what Debbie saw in Harry Carr (Carl?) owner of shoe stores.
He was much older and physically UGLY.
Just remembered; Martin Melcher, who became her manager of sorts, took her to the cleaners..practically wiped her out. He also signed her up for a TV show she didn't want and knew nothing about until after he died.
He was the father of her only child, who died of cancer as a grown man.
Her first husband, a member of the band she started out singing for, beat her unmercifully.
Poor Doris. From what I have read; she was a good, decent woman.
Doris is still with us thankfully.
She is now up in her 90's, and I swear I'll cry when she is gone. I love her and her movies.
And think of how much good she has done in her retirement by establishing a prolific animal care organization!!
Doris is an American icon- a true American treasure, the like of which we shall never see again!
I'd love to discuss old movies and stars. (minor authority, since I've read everything I could find about them. :)
