This should not be part of NASA’s budget priorities at this time. There are far, far too many more immediate and practical space exploration efforts that NASA’s tight budget should be prioritized on. We have likely a century, or maybe two before exploring worlds beyond our solar system will have any practical immediate scientific importance. It’s not a good use of taxpayers space explotation funds at this time.

If we find an inhabitable world, we will have a a goal to inspire people and something to work for. Without a planet to inspire us, we will waste our money on government bureaucracy and unnecessary welfare.
