Hundreds of passengers on a Norwegian Air flight at Orlando International Airport (MCO) were forced to deplane Sunday night after a male flyer made a hoax bomb threat because he was upset about his seat.
According to the Orlando Police Department, fellow passengers on the plane bound for London overhead the unidentified man make a comment about a bomb because he was unhappy about his seat. Police responded to a call from the planes gate (87 at MCO) just as the flight was preparing to close its doors and pull away from the gate.
All 333 passengers and 12 crew members were asked to deplane while officials searched the plane for an explosive device. Authorities say nothing suspicious was found, and passengers were allowed back on for a delayed takeoff to London. The incident began at about 5:52pm and the plane finally took off at 8:35pm, airport officials say.
The man who made the threat was questioned by police and handed over to the FBI for further investigation. Two other passengers were also questioned by law enforcement. Its not clear if the man was allowed to re-board the plane with the rest of the passengers.
A similar but far more dramatic situation occurred on board a United flight. A male passenger who was running late for his flight decided to call in a hoax bomb threat to delay his plane from Cincinnati to Dallas in October 2017. On Thursday, that man was sentenced to four months in prison, three months probation and forced to pay a $7,700 fine as restitution to United.
What a stupid dumb-sh-t.... He needs to be banned for life from flying.

He’ll get his wish of a different seat. This one will be in a prison cell.
“What a stupid dumb-sh-t.... He needs to be banned for life from flying.”
So, you belive that threatening to murder 350 people in a terrorist bombing of a civilian aircraft should only result in being placed on the No Fly List?
That’s being very soft on terrorism.
Let me see if I have this straight. Dude makes a bomb threat on an aircraft, and these yahoos think the chump might be allowed to reboard the aircraft? They cant be that stupid, can they?
I’m seeing ads for this route on Norwegian all over the place down here. $199.00 one way.
The subset of Spirit Airlines customers who require adult supervision on a good day and heavy medication the rest of the time will be coming out of the woodwork at that price point. As if the UK needed more problems, Norwegian air just introduced a London rate that can be bought with an EBT card’s monthly fill.
I would be so... irritated. (Im being polite)
So, delaying the ferry screwed up thousands of people. Those trying to go home and to their jobs from their holiday or vacation, those that got stuck on the "mainland" waiting to get to the island, and oh, btw, all the hotel rooms are already booked, and all those parking spaces are filled by cars whose owners are stuck on the island, you get the picture.
They should have made this guy get down on his hands and knees by the boarding gate, and each passenger gets to kick him in the ass one time as they reboard the plane.
For the time being, London seems to be full of knifers and people who throw caustic liquids in your face for no reason.
I am postponing my return to that historic city.
I want to see if they get rid of their little Muslim Mayor.

$199 to London? Do they make you sit on the Wing or in the Baggage Compartment?
.

“Standby” fare.
Have you ever lived in an airport lobby?

Can’t say that I have.
Never flew Standby either, but for $199 it could be tempting if I was forty years younger.
I've actually seen sale fares as low as $140 each way. But...

Norwegian Air is a low-cost carrier (LCC), meaning theyll try to add many and varied extra charges to your basic ticket. If you havent flown an LCC before, read this primer first.
LowFare on Norwegian is considered to be no-frills economy, and basically nothing is included except for one carry-on bag limited to 10kg. Choosing and reserving your seats (not upgrading; thats much more expensive) will run you an additional $45 per person each way, while a checked bag is an additional $90 when purchased online or $65-$130 when paid for at the airport and thats just the tip of the iceberg.
The frustrating thing about "news" from all sources these days is that it hopelessly incompetent. With hundreds of other passengers and security involved for over three hours, there is no clue what the perp looks like, even if no name is divulged.
I can't wondering what Abdul's last name is...
What's up with that?
He’s really not going to like his “new” seat.....
