I’m not positive you’d get many takers. How many brave men would be wanting to extol their own virtue in front of a class?You would come nearer, getting the people who advocated for the medal award to talk about it. But even at that, the number of awards pales compared to the number of schools in America - let alone the number of classes.

Not one word in his Medal of Honor citation that he was inadvertently left behind on the mountain top, where for up to an hour he killed countless insurgents and died when he ran out of bullets. The Navy held up his MOH for years because they didn’t want it coming out that they left him behind. But that’s exactly what happened. And in the end the Navy got their way. Unless someone is familiar with the operation you’ll never know the true story.

Yeah, its surprising he got the Medal, considering how bad it makes the PTB look.
