UGH! One good song, played to death, and a pile of fake-hick crap.
Greatest hits albums are not real albums.
But, having met him a few times, Don Henley is a down to earth dude.
Hotel California was on Vol.2. The Very Best Of (Eagles album) combines everything from both greatest hits albums.
So the album to finally top Thriller was a collection of cherry-picked songs from previous albums?
I dont own albums from either artist or group, so no real dog in the fight. But it doesnt seem like a proper comparison to me.

They did a couple of good things...but there were many groups far better.
Interesting... So Hotel California which last year was certified to have sold 18 million copies has suddenly leaped into third place behind Triller? 8 million copies of Hotel California sold last year?
And Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd has sold a reported 26 million copies is certified by the RIAA as only having sold 15 million... Even though it spent an astonishing 900 weeks on the top 100 selling albums?
Wonder how much the RIAA charges to make their certifications? Maybe Pink Floyd might want to make a few contributions... Not to mention the Beatles..
The song “Hotel California” is a rip-off of Jethro Tull’s “We Used to Know”
When asked about it, Ian Anderson remarked that he considered Hotel California to be a pretty good tribute. “It’s a bit like this tribute Rolex that I’m wearing.”

To quote The Dude...
“I hate the ****in’ Eagles”.
Nobody can top them in the 20th century. They had the all time best albums sells. This might have something to do with the 4hr History of The Eagles on Netflix.Another generation of fans.
Think of the competition in the 20th century.
This “my bands better than your band’ is juvenile nonsense. If you have to win this argument, I feel sorry for you. Besides, its all fading away into time.
