President Trump criticized Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday and revealed the only reason he hired him for the job to begin with.
In an interview broadcast Thursday morning on “Fox and Friends,” Trump tells anchor Ainsley Earhardt that Sessions was never able to take control over the DOJ.
“The Dems are very strong in the Justice Department," Trump said during the interview. "And I put in an attorney general that never took control of the Justice Department, Jeff Sessions. Never took control of the Justice Department.
“It’s sort of an incredible thing,” he added.
He then renewed his criticism of Sessions over his recusal from the Russia investigation.
“Jeff Sessions recused himself, which he shouldn’t have done, or he should have told me,” Trump said. “He took my job, and then he said, ‘I’m going to recuse myself.’ I said, ‘What kind of man is this?’”
The president explained the only reason he gave Sessions the job was because of his loyalty when his campaign first launched.
"The only reason I gave him the job is because I felt loyalty," Trump said Thursday. "He was an original supporter."
Sessions, then a Republican senator from Alabama, was one of the earliest and biggest names to support Trump during the Republican primary.

We have a One-Party state run from Chicago for the better part of a century.
Before this the Gray Wolves confined themselves to gorging on the City and doing a bang-up job of it.
Ask someone trustworthy about who to pick. Ask Dan Bongino or DeGenova who would do the job right. Do NOT ask any member of congress. Not even Rand Paul or Jim Jordan. They’re stand up guys, but no.

Sorry, but that is ill advised in the biggest way. It would ruin his presidency. An impeached president won’t be able to run for reelection. The optics and PR would be the worst. The House would flip for certain.
You should be nice to Extreme Extreme Extremist. I assume that Extreme Extreme Extremist is Jeff Session’s 98 year old mother. Cut her some slack. She is sticking up for her baby boy.
Do they ever officially recess anymore. If they do, he could fire Sessions and appoint another in the middle of the night, before they could object. Recess appointments don’t have to be approved, I’ve heard. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Now that Trump has the permission of Grassley and Graham, he will do just that.

The Senate has agreed to not officially recess to prevent a recess appointment. The thing about not confirming is only temporary, too. The recess appointment is good only until the end of the current Congress, which is Jan. 2, 2019.
Unconstitutional. Besides, if he fires sessions and does not appoint someone else, rosenweasel will be AG, which, for all practical purposes, he already is. Don’t know who’s under him, but I’m betting there are very few, if any, in the department, he could trust.
They think they have him sewed up, but I have faith that they will fail. It will take a miracle. Pray without ceasing.
If he fires him he will get no replacement, at least not one that would be of any use to him. He has been warned by the leadership of both Houses.
