Interesting. We watch a lot of esports. Because their are only blue and red for colors the teams or players randomly have one of those for the serious of games they are playing. But in the next series a hour or two later there is no gareuntee that the player/team you prefer is going to be that same color. I find it takes serious effort to change what color you are rooting for from one match to the next. I will be half way through a game and find I am routing for the ‘wrong’ team.

I said it was about money. People who open businesses typically need financial backers. Some ethnic groups have very strong business communities that support other members of their group with a focus on a specific industry that they feel some expertise or comfort with. So you get lots of Sikh indians able to open or run gas stations in our area while people born and raised here can't get a load from the bank to do the same.
So this article says robots programmed in a certain way somehow do the same. Is that really "racist" or "sexist" though?
I'd bet that this need/proclivity to group is what is behind the apparent rampant gender diaspora currently reported.

So the scientists made the robots play a game and the robots found a winning strategy. This is simple game theory, it has nothing to do with racism or sexism.

The basic component of intelligence is pattern recognizition.
For example, any AI that is taught to recognize patterns can look at the FBI crime statistics and and figure out certain ethnic groups commit crimes at much higher rates than others. In fact, any AI that couldn’t do that also wouldn’t be able to detect correlation between smoking and lung cancer, and would thus be completely useless.
The problem is, certain political groups have made noticing and acting based on this detected pattern “racial profiling” and “racist”. When in reality it’s just common sense.
But it explains why nationalism and tribalism is basically human rent seeking behavior and cannot be effectively removed by propaganda or legislation.
Obviously they’re demonstrating logic rather than humans’ sewed Political Correctness.
