Huckabee said Kerry could be suited for the first successful prosecution of the Logan Act of 1799, which prohibits conducting unauthorized diplomacy with governments in dispute with the United States.

The act's name refers to a 1798 incident in which Philadelphia farmer George Logan traveled to France, outside the purview of President John Adams, to try to avoid war during a time of tension over merchant shipping.

The traitorous political aristocracy is immune to very laws that were promulgated to protect America. It’s one big joke.

So do it. If we had an Attorney General a Grand Jury would be convened, an indictment handed down, and the Courts would settle the question once and for all.

I suspect the Logan Act is toothless. Otherwise, it would have been enforced long ago and put an end to American Leftists running around promoting their Leftist agenda while pretending to represent the US government. Jimmy Carter, for example, would have been Logan acted long ago.

Too bad it’ll never happen to Kerry.

If these pussy Republicans had a backbone, they might, just might prosecute douchebag Kerry, but sadly I thing you’re right, They won’t-
Seeing what the do with Kavanaugh can be telling. If they let him be Borked, they’ll also roll over for Kerry. Let’s see if they can snatch defeat at the hands of victory again.
NO REAL FAITH IN THE REPUB PARTY, but sadly our only hope!

If Kerry was indicted, it might make other corrupt people in the government take note. This has nothing to do with any collusion except Kerry’s so it couldn’t be called obstruction. Real teeth need to be put into punishing treason. Then release the FISA and indict others.

“I suspect the Logan Act is toothless.“

Perhaps. But it’s time to find out if you’re correct. It used to be that Politics stopped at the waters edge. Remember that? Now any washed up has been politico can travel to hostile countries and actively undermine a duly elected President performing his Constitutionally mandated duties.

If the Logan Act doesn’t meet Constitutional muster that’s for the Courts to decide. Perhaps if a high profile indictment and criminal trial occurs that will be enough to stop some of this crap. And if the Act is struck down so be it.

Congress can get busy writing a law that withstands a challenge.

They will never use the Logan Act against Kerry because they know the Democrats will then use it against them when it is the Democrats' turn in charge. Too many entangling alliances and permanent enemies with strong lobbies for foreign interests for either party to have clean hands.

Never happen. Laws are made for the little people and our government proves day in and day out.

Several politicians and ex- politicians should be tried and convicted and executed. But they’re all above the law. The law is only to suppress and control the hoi polloi — us Deplorable Dregs ( who get to pay for this entire corrupt system, too).

That would be nice, but perish the thought. The US Government won’t even prosecute the perpetrators of the coup that’s underway right now. And on that note, what’s become of the “investigation” into the hundreds of ‘about queries’ (unmasking requests) submitted by virtually every single senior member of the Obama administration.

At a minimum Kerry should lose his passport and any security clearance he has.
