Just somebody, who is supposed to.be a believing Christian, but who blocked me when I pointed out a position he held that wasn’t Biblical.
I took it as an indication of how much netherworld is slowly infected Christianity.
It would be on his wall. Desmond Ford. However, when I checked from my other account it appears the conversation was deleted.
I have a who deleted me all. It was either Ford or whomever was running his account.
You sure that you weren’t having a discussion with Gillian F. (”Gill”)? She apparently posts a lot under Desmond’s name: https://www.facebook.com/drdesmondford/posts/1056857651147524
It could very well have been her. I know he doesn’t manage his own page. I can only say that I have been blocked.
As I said, I’m not concerned or bothered about being blocked, but the antitheological reason that I was blocked.
then any user could report it, even someone who was not a friend (or even an automated script).
but plenty of hate and violent threats are tolerated and protected by fakebook. try reporting antisemitism, Christophobia, or death threats against Republicans and you will be told that these do not go against Fakebook’s communisty standards.
are you blocked from posting to his page (which is the operator of that page’s control) or suspended from fakebook for 3 days to a week to 30 days (facebook jail)?
I’m blocked from the page, not a general block. It was a user block.
For later
Who’s ‘e’ and why should we care?
I’m trying to block the OP on FreeRepublic for misspelling the headline, but this thread keeps showing up in my feed. What am I doing wrong?
Facebook is set up to block people with whom you do not wish to share.
Freedom of speech has never been a factor there. If someone doesnt like you, you get blocked. They are under no obligation to let anyone into their page.
Honestly, its about the only thing I like about Facebook.
This is just flat wrong. The second coming is stated in the Nicene and Apostolic Creeds, which Christian churches have been reciting for well over 1,000 years.
I'm a Presbyterian. The second coming is taught in our confession, the Westminster Confession of Faith, which was written in 1646 and has been the standard of Presbyterian doctrine ever since.
Similarly, the London Baptist Confession, written in 1689, teaches the second coming. The Augsburg Confession, the Confessional statement of Lutheranism written in 1530, also teaches the second coming of Christ. Article 37 of the Belgic Confession--the official confession of the Dutch Reformed church written in the 1560s--also explicitly teaches the second coming.
It would be hard to find a single mainstream conservative Christian denomination that didn't teach the second coming in the 1800s when Seventh-day Adventism started. I personally can't think of one, because denial of the second coming has always been considered heresy by Christians.
So, you ran into the Gospel of Google. If it feels good do it.
Why are you on Facebook? Maybe you should consider the priorities in your life. Maybe thinking this Facebook episode is worth posting on FR about should give you pause.
Where did you learn that nonsense ?
Now that doctrine is a mainstream one
As it should be for the last two thousand years
yawn
Why are you arguing on FB
Heretics have been thrown out of religious groups for as long as there have been religious groups.
You first sentence is delusional
Why does this surprise you ?
Using Facebook acknowledges the FACT that you would rather bend to your addictions than stand up with those who are censored - those who are on our side.
You are literally logging into an enemy system, working for them to provide marketing and opinion data to their real customers.
I don’t care about your experience on Facebook anymore. You log into that site and you deserve what you get. It’s the enemy. Stop attending to the enemy.
