One way to separate false doctrines or Denominations is to ask the question Jesus asked...Who do you say I am. Ask the same question “Who do you say Jesus is?” SDA’s follow Ellen G. White who stated that Jesus was Michael the Archangel. SDA’s try to cover this up but it is a fact. Anyone who denies the divinity of Christ is NOT a Biblical Believer.
Mormons also deny the divinity of Christ...good people but completely deceived by false doctrines.

Seventh day Adventists can be summed as Christian, Protestant, And Seventh day Adventist.....in that order. When it comes to doctrines, I find they have the most Biblically sound doctrines of all major Christian Denominations. From creation in the literal 7 day week, to salvation by faith alone through grace alone in Christ alone as revealed in the Bible alone. No, Ellen White is not their God, she leads people to the Bible.

Anyone who reads her classic “The Desire of Ages” will fall in love with Christ and anyone who reads here classic “The Great Controversy” will never be the same again. And when both are tested to the Bible, the standard of truth, well, they pass.

They believe in ALL ten commandments, including the fourth commandment which destroys both evolution and the man made weekly holy day which nobody even keeps anymore anyways.....Sunday. They make excellent doctors, many follow the Edenic diet, of course God’s original is always the best. And they are about the nicest people around. Even in his book, Malcolm X says the kindest white people he ever met were Seventh day Adventists....something like that.

They still believe in the Bible definition of marriage, and they still believe homosexuality is a sin like many other sins....including gossip. Paul puts gossip with homosexuality right there in Romans 1. A

Adventists grew out of the failed prophecy of William Miller, a respected good man who got prophecy wrong in 1844. He was just looking for his savior........which I am too. Uh, even the apostles got it wrong, so being wrong is not a sign of being an apostate.

Simply put Adventists, take the best of every protestant denomination, baptism, holy living, the Trinity, and in these last days, God has repaired the breach of the SAbbath to counter darwinism and a false Sabbath. A

I’m amazed at people who find the Sabbath on their own by reading scripture, studying it. I have met many.

Many here are Christians. Already familiar with Christ. I recommend “The Great Controversy” by Ellen White. A book on the history of the Christian Church, from the beginning to the great martyrs, the protestants, Luther, Wesley, etc. men who God used to bring the church out of darkness..and she carries it right to the end.......to the 2nd coming. Then test it to the Bible. You will be simply amazed.

So now Faceplant is now blocking people for supposedly interpersonal discussions on what is supposed to be between the page owner and family, friends and acquaintances? How would they know and why would they care? This is just plain creepy beyond words.

We were discussing the ordination of wonen, of which I'm against because the Bible teaches the women are not to have authority over men.

The SDAs went off the rails on that one at their founding.

The churches were not accepting of this doctrine by The time the 1800’s were around. The church did a lot of falling away since 325.

All practicing Catholics and Orthodox recite the Nicene Creed every Sunday, and have for at least 1500 years. We mean every word of it.

When you disagree with people on FB, it is the same as calling them “fat and stupid”.

It’s worth posting this, not because he’s been blocked but (because) the world is infiltrating the Church instead of the Church entering the world. I had a similar discussion with our teaching Pastor and a Youth outreach Pastor regarding a teaching (side room discussion) on white privilege. There was twisting of scripture, pushing of a radical message and most of all bring the world’s standard into the Church. It was a civil discussion but even the teaching Pastor, who’s rock solid in his preaching, was “duped” by this BS. The conclusion was this teaching was a “side room” discussion and never from the pulpit. It doesn’t matter-—it’s an agenda—period. I know people say “just leave” but the Bible is very clear to face them head on in the name and love of Jesus. Remember, this is God’s Church, God’s people and God’s directive. His people are to spread Christ’s truth but also stop hypocrisy and false teaching. If you think you’re being a hypocrite for standing up for truth, then you better read Paul’s writings. When it came to truth and justice he told it like it is...brutally honest lead by the Spirit. Keep fighting the good fight, this is only the beginning.

I was more perplexed that he took his blocking on a social media platform as a sign that the rapture is upon us.

To the OP:

As the father of three daughters, all of whom can shoot and fight as well or better than any of their male peers, be ye warned... any dude who tries to assert their authority over them will be on the receiving end of their skills.

But generally speaking, I think it’s a bad idea for Christians to remain within false religions, or listen to false teachers who pervert scripture.

__________________________________________________________
What a bucket of worms you have presented us with.

Don’t misunderstand me, I have no particular love for the Seventh Day Adventists religion or their beliefs, but, they do believe that they are following Christ.

When you get right down to it it would be hard for any church to claim some special authority to be the “right” church today with the exception possibly of the various “Catholic” churches. Protestant churches have no claim whatsoever to this claim since they long ago declared the Catholic Church dead. With Martin Luther being a priest in a church that was dead how can you get another church that is not dead rising from the dead church. So if you are not “Catholic” then your claim is that you follow what you believe the scriptures say. I would say following the scriptures is a good thing but then again who is to say authoritatively what it is that they say? Well the Catholics have a Pope or Patriarch or other priesthood leaders that can say they speak for Christ as head of The Church, at least that is the claim. It would seem a pretty important thing to have.

At first glance you might think I am promoting Catholicism, I am not. I am simply giving facts. There is much of historical evidence to say that Popes lost the priesthood of Peter well over a thousand years ago if indeed they ever had it after 325AD, but there are claims to the contrary too.

I don’t know how important it is. If it were really important it seems that God would send a messenger to say “this is what to teach”, or this is what to believe and I will leave so and so in charge until I return. When that happens perhaps it will be a lot easier for us to say someone else’s religion is wrong. Until then let us hope we will be guided by The Holy Spirit to make good choices and follow The Savior the best way we can.

That was my concern when I posted it. It wasn’t because somebody blocked me. It was because of the train of thought that infiltrated the church. They are being foolish by becoming self reliant through doctrines. They think abiding by doctrines and tested prophecies will protect them, meanwhile they are being outflanked in a direction that they don’t see coming.

IMO, someone is going to start a competitor to Facebook, etc, and there will be no blocking. Possibly enough horsepower to kill Facebook. THEN what will Zuckerberg do for $$$$$$$?

Is it a Facebook “group”, with a non-Facebook individual who set up the group and is also the moderator of the group?

If so, it most likely was that moderator and not a Facebook employee that has blocked you.

A privately established Facebook group has a “mission” of its own so to speak, and the person who established the group and is a moderator of the group, is seeking posts only within the purpose for which they created the group. They can delete posts to the group, and block posters when they think any posts are outside the mission of the group.

So start your own Facebook group if you want.

“Prior to the creation of the SDA church, no denomination believed in the Second Coming of Christ. Now that doctrine is a mainstream one.”

Wrong. The concept of Christ’s return and judging of the living and the dead at that time is in the early Christian creeds adopted in the 4th century A.D.

(Full Disclosure: I am Independent Fundamental Baptist)

Please correct me, but aren’t you saying that the SDA church is being infiltrated by doctrines that are clearly taught in the writings of Ellen G. White!?

Knew of a man in Greenville SC who was defrocked because he denied that Ellen G. White was inspired. It seems unremarkable to me that someone would be disfellowshipped for tampering with her ideas about the advent.

You should ignore me as I have no standing in this, but if you would not mind to answer, I always appreciate honest correction. And thanks, I hope, in advance.

For all of us who have saving faith in our Lord Jesus Christ not to notice
the churches departure from Bibical truths is not easy. All denominations are having this problem as we slide into deeper apostasy.

Lots of people do. That's the problem.

It would seem a pretty important thing to have.

It would, wouldn't it?

Fortunately, Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, instructed us on how to discern truth from falsehood.

And it has nothing to do with listening to someone who wears a miter, or cassock, or reports to the "Holy" See.
