If socialism is so great, why not stay in those countries?

If Democrat policies are so wonderful, why not stay?

We have brought this up in the immigration debate for years. People are fleeing their poverty, not the system that kept them in poverty. They are trained up in the system that abused and used them, and it is ingrained in their thinking; they know no other way.

As soon as people from Marxist-socialist or otherwise corrupt countries arrive in the USA they are “reached out to” (I’m hating that expression anymore) by people of the ilk we just heard yesterday stating that the problems in Detroit are caused by capitalism. A leftist female candidate here in the United States just made that remark.

Some one else on this thread likened it to cancer, which spreads, and eventually kills the host. Yep.

Why Do People Flee Socialist Countries and Blue States, Then Vote Democrat?

Human Nature, people are no where near as good as they think they are.

God gave the Ten Commandments partially as a tool kit so you might be able to understand yourself, and not succumb to the nature of Evil.

If they were smart enough to know they are the cause they wouldn’t have to flee.

The s@#t in their own nests and then when the filth overflows they come here ans s@#t in ours.

Being from Wisconsin --- surrounded by Minnesota, Illinois, and Michigan in the midst of their own unsustainable budget crisis --- I've often asked the same thing. The liberals migrating across the state lines to Wisconsin seem quick to hate on Governor Walker. And yet, here they are, because Walker has taken steps to change Wisconsin's course, where their governors have failed to do so. Logically the only correlation I can offer is that liberalism is an opportunistic disease like cancer which spreads where it can with no concern for the well-being of the host.

People are resilient so it takes a long time for liberal policies to make it completely impossible to live in an area. Look at places like San Francisco and Chicago where lots of people continue to eke out an existence, or even thrive, despite all of the liberal nonsense.

This leads to a disconnect: people don't associate liberal policies with ultimate failure. They think it must be about corruption, or not enough money being flushed down into failed programs.

When they move to a thriving conservative society they see all of the excess wealth not being spent on transgendered ballet and racially sensitive macrame and think they are actually making things better by voting to support such nonsense.

Ultimately that place starts going south and yet the light bulb still doesn't go off. They need to move to another economically thriving place and bring their compassionate progressivism to make it even better!

For the same reason that so many in the US and elsewhere continue to pursue socialism here; the right person just hasn’t had a chance to make it work.

They like to destroy.

Whether it is the paper bag industry or big pharma or single-gender bathrooms, they like to destroy.

Once they destroy the paper bag industry, for example, then they go after its replacement — the plastic bag industry. After a while, they become dissatisfied with that industry and set about destroying it.

That is who they are.

That is what they do.

And they never look at unintended consequences of their actions.

It makes them feel powerful. Whether it is pulling down Confederate statues or forcing a sports team to change their logo or their team name. What power they wield!

Voters - especially suburban females - want to “Save Our Schools” and show that they care about the poor. They have no conception that these are actually Communist slogans, not legitimate public policy goals.

It’s complicated, but a very distilled explanation is this:

Individuals who reject the 1st Commandment and only consider the 2nd Commandment delude themselves into believing they are a good person in and of themselves without need of their Creator. Therefore, they swing to the extreme and demand Socialism which is an attempt to impose, via compulsion, the 2nd Commandment without need (rejection) of the 1st Commandment.

Except it is impossible to live out the 2nd Commandment without first committing to the 1st Commandment.

Thus, it doesn’t matter the geography, this false individual belief system, articulated through Socialism, and fully realized as Communism, will infect any area where people reject their Creator.

Immigrants and people who flee blue states have never been taught about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.

Because they think the problem lies with specific politicians, instead of with their political philosophy.

No, if they were that sharp, they wouldn’t be lefties in the first place.

Internationally: "Socialism" means different things to different people and different countries, and the political views people have don't always fit into simple binary oppositions.

If you were fighting in Imperial Russia for free labor unions and social insurance you were a socialist. After the Communists came in you were regarded as anything but. You'd be seen as a capitalist and a reactionary. If you moved to some places in the US, you would have been seen as a socialist again.

Domestically: There's always a gang that controls state government. When you escape one gang, you don't suddenly find yourself absolutely free. There's another gang. You may find them less oppressive economically, but think them more oppressive in other ways. Or you think yourself smarter. Or you just don't like their style and way of doing things.

But maybe what happens is that polarization spreads. Plenty of people move from Massachusetts to Southern New Hampshire with liberal Massachusetts ideas, making the area more Democrat. But plenty of people with conservative ideas who are fleeing Massachusetts politics and taxation also move north. The result is that Southern New Hampshire is more Democrat and liberal, but the Republicans there are more conservative. Upstate is more Rockefeller moderate/liberal Republican.

The Californican invaders to TX are ruining the state with their votes on candidates and they never met a tax they didn’t love.

Going full socialist is like marrying a psychotic bitch.

In America we are still in the dating stage when she is so nice and putting out.

They are fleeing countries where they have been married long for the psychotic bitch to come out.
