Ford has to have asked for immunity from prosecution...
News and Logic | 23 September 2018 | Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin

It is beginning to be obvious that Ford has asked for immunity from prosecution (for perjury) as it is becoming apparent that she is lying. SEVERAL supposed witnesses have no recollection of the party. She has to have asked for immunity from prosecution for what she is trying to do.

I understand. I should have been more clear about this:

The best law firms hire former federal prosecutors as their criminal defense lawyers. It's actually really hard to have credibility in criminal defense at those levels without having worked as a prosecutor because of both street cred and because former prosecutors have an automatic leg up over non-prosecutors in dealing with the current prosecutors. So if someone is footing your legal bills, your criminal defense lawyer will likely be a former prosecutor of some stripe. I don't really see anything odd about this that we could read into.

What I'm reading into this is that Bromwich is being brought on board to deal with matters of CRIMINAL LAW.

Ford isn't a defendant. She's not even dealing with prosecutors now (OR MAYBE SHE IS). She's a prospective witness in a Senate confirmation process.

I didn't have a criminal lawyer in any of my dealings as a WITNESS. LOL.

LOL.

Here's my rationale for the 70 votes ...

I believe we are now at a point where Ford's story has unraveled so badly that the Democrats desperately want this confirmation vote to be held very quickly.

And I believe Sen. Grassley has the leverage to demand enough Democrat votes from Schumer to get to 70 for the full Senate.

"That number goes up by one senator every 24 hours, Chuck -- even if it means I have to string this Judiciary Committee process out until the last week of October."

Don’t have time to read all 78 posts (at this point) and I am not a lawyer.

But I doubt that congress can give her any immunity beyond immunity from criminal prosecution.

I suspect that she is already wide open for civil action and that it will come from one of the many that she has dragged into this matter, rather than from Kavanaugh.

Her four named witnesses...who by implication then were party to her decades of silence and party to the assault (an assault she says was like rape and made her fear for her life) - in other words THEY took part in and failed to report a violent crime (multiple felonies)...have a tremendous reason to sue her and even file charges against her. She accused at least one of them of actually taking part in this assault. ALL of them had lawyers submit amazingly terse letters blowing her out of the water. I would not be surprised at all if at least one, probably two, bring suits, or even charges, against her.

Thanks for putting it in perspective so well. You are right. I get discouraged by the ignorance of so many.

I couldn’t agree more about our turn out. Our base is more fired up than ever.

I’ll say it again: The Rats are getting crazier and crazier and showing their true, ugly colors (the Kavanaugh situation is an example) and more and more decent, good people are seeing it and don’t like it.

Don’t take this wrong but where is the source for this request? Too many twitface things get raised up to fact.

I have said many times that many on the left aspire to victimhood as their ultimate status, just as you said. Not all of them, not any, but many.

Nice scenario, but I think it’s fiction.

Think about it: If the Rats wanted the confirmation vote to be held very quickly they would have shut down this charade yesterday; the Rats are in control of this fiasco, not Ford.

Actually, as predictions go, not too unlikely. The wheels are falling off the leftard lie wagon. Even the lamestream media is being forced to report that all the evidence is showing that the drunken slut is a politically-motivated, scheming liar. To save their electoral asses, a number of demonocrats may decide to virtue signal how unlike the leftard filth they are by “reluctantly” voting for Kavanaugh, because although doubts remain, there just is no evidence to sustain the charge.

But I’d peg it at mid-to-upper 50s, maybe 60 or a little better. Most demonocrats are elected from states that have overwhelmingly demonic electorates that are impervious to truth, goodness, decency, logic, reason, or facts. These senators have everything to gain by continuing to support the drunken lying slut.

WTH is paying the legal bills of fraud Ford? The scumbags do not come cheap per retainer and hour. A good guess is Soros and other a-hole deep pocket leftists. The spineless GOP reaffirms why I am independent and have very little allegiance to the GOP anymore.

I have absolutely thought, and it is quite evident from the worst of the worst comments, that it is men who have taken up Ford’s cause far more than women. Women do not curse and swear like some of those comments read. It is men who have taken up this cause because they see it as a way to be righteous in the eyes of their women, and the women around them, and surely those women have made very clear that there is exactly and only one way to think of this matter. Believing her is an absolute requirement.

I think she (her lawyers) has insisted she is ONLY asked about 36 years ago. She’s pretty safe from perjury there.

ABSOLUTELY NO questions about the last 3 months (or 3 years). Who contacted who? When? Who was “in the loop”? What phone calls has she been part of or been informed of? How many of her demands were her idea and how many came from someone else? Who’s paying for her lawyer and what inputs did that person/group have on negotiations.

Questions like those are absolutely relevant at this point. And likely either to result in perjury for her or “embarrassment” for many people she is working with.

As usual, the Repubs looking at a nominee’s qualifications for SCOTUS - his/her law career and record, and the ‘Rats dragging things down to their own level - did someone get to Second Base at 17 and/or 15.

This is why we, as Americans, can’t have nice things.

This shows that she’s lying. She can’t have immunity from defamation because that violates Kavanaugh’s right to sue for defamation. The Senate can’t agree to take away his right w/o his consent.

She can’t immunity from any other prosecution because the Senate is not a court.
