I was just at the 25th annual Telluride Brews & Blues Festival. More than 75 different brewers. I couldn’t tell you what I drank. Not even one of them. There was a killer Oktoberfest, and I remember trying an IPA that was about 11.5%. I don’t remember much after that. Pretty sure I wasn’t groped though.
All right! A new place to visit in Bend. OR on our drives through there.
We are truly living in the Golden Age of beer. Rejoice!
I am by no means the beer connoisseur I was when I was younger, simply because I can’t drink much of anything without starting to worry about how I’m going to recover from it. But it seems to me that if you are talking about a really full body beer with all kinds of subtleties and nuances to it versus the kind of beer that you want to slam down on a hot summer day, those two are in Effect 2 different categories of Beverage. As George Costanza once said, “is that wrong?”
The brewer from Green Cheak did really well a couple years ago when he was the brewer for Noble Ale Works. So many good breweries in Orange County.
852 different IPAs were entered, more than all other categories combined. I’m so sick of IPAs.
