The Cubs being knocked out by a run driven in by a backup catcher hitting .170 was just icing on the cake to us Pirate fans.

Terrance Gore was an interesting subplot: without his speed as a pinch-runner for Rizzo the Cubs don’t score at all, but because Maddon overmanaged he had no one left to pinch-hit for the offensively-inept Gore, who can’t steal first base.

Yes, you are right. I know the right terms and have played baseball for many years. I just posted at the end of a long day and was really tired. It was extra innings, more than 9. and they scored eventually and they wined.
