We have a Vizio smart tv, model D43-D2. It used to have a keyboard screen so you could surf the web. We never used it past the first couple of weeks. Now, we can't find it anywhere and neither could the internet/cable repair guy.
Yes, I've looked at the manual but it doesn't mention a keyboard.
Once you go into the “Smart Hub” - wherever your Netflix, Amazon and Hulu apps are etc... there should be an icon for the Internet.
Navigate to and click on that. Then you should be able to see the keyboard or use your remote as the keyboard.
Amazon has tons of keyboards
Following because I just bought a new Vizio Smart TV last week.
Usually when you make the/a text/entry field active, the virtual keyboard will become visible.
I’ve got a Vizio “smart TV”, but I’ve never connected it to the web, don’t see the need. We’ve got smartphones, and computers (plus an iPad), so I don’t see the need for it.
I had a Vizio Smart TV and it had the Youtube and Amazon apps but after an update it removed it from the app tray. This was 2 years ago.
I have a 6 year old Vizio smart tv and the keyboard is on the back of the remote. :)
...check you’re options ( or menu) on remote

At some point Vizio updated the software via the wireless and moved your cheese..................or keyboard................
What is the exact model number?
funny man
Walmart has a 70 inch 4K Vizio for $859.00 today, $500.00 less than I gave for a 1080p model couple years ago. Not complaining but it is beginning to show up dim bands on screen, guess LEDs are failing.

FWIW, I have found that I get higher quality picture on streaming video using the latest Roku device than through the smart TV hub. The latest Amazon Fire is not quite as good as the Roku, but is better than the TV hub. Of course all connect to the same content, including YouTube, Netflix, Prime, and the internet.
Four years back, we bought 3 Vizio 55” Smart TVs over the course of a week. All had trouble connecting to our WiFi...all continuously locked up. Salesperson said our house was haunted. Returned all of them, bought a Samsung dumb TV...never looked back. Did hookup Prime and it rocks.
I remember there was a "Smart Hub" but can't find it now. It isn't where all the apps are showing. What would the internet icon look like?
