Since none of the news articles gave a link to where one could take a sample test and be grade, I did a search and found this
one offered by '800citizen.org'. You specify your state and select the number of questions (5/10/20/50). Happy to say that I got 49 of 50 within about 10 minutes or so. Try it, I'd love to challenge the LEFTist websites to do better than my fellow FReepers!

Are you an American. Answer these five simple questions right and chances good you are:
1: Fill in the blank: Hot dogs and __________
2. The great American pastime is ________
3. It’s fourth and long. Score’s tied midway though the third quarter. What do you do?
4. Name this tune: “O beautiful for patriot dream that sees beyond the years”
5. Fill in the blanks. “Retreat hell, we ___ ___ ___”

(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

I got them all right, but some of them were trick questions. “How many justices are on the Supreme Court?”—should you answer 8 or 9? Both are correct.

Its fourth and long. Scores tied midway though the third quarter. What do you do? If its the NFL, I change the channel.

The results should have been correlated with their political party.

1: Fill in the blank: Hot dogs and BEER
2. The great American pastime is BEER
3. Its fourth and long. Scores tied midway though the third quarter. What do you do? GRAB A BEER BEFORE THE PUNT RETURN
4. Name this tune: O beautiful for patriot dream that sees beyond the BEERS”
5. Fill in the blanks. Retreat hell, we BEER UP

I got two “wrong”
7) Name one problem that led to the Civil War.
A. election freedom
B. economic reasons
C. presidential conflicts
D. human rights
I think both B and D are right — freedom from slavery is a human right, but the “answer” turns out to be B.
32) What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?
A. join a civic group and write to a newspaper
B. vote and volunteer as a social worker
C. serve on a jury and join a political party
D. write to a newspaper and speak in the United Nations
This is a pretty weird question. I’d say A or C (and maybe even D.) is participating in our democracy but apparently it’s only A.

You answered 23 of 24 CORRECT! Your score is in the 85th percentile.
How many amendments are there. I was only off by one...

At least the 3rd post of same article.Maybe but at least I included a link for a sample test whereas I did not see it on the others and made it clear on the title to differentiate. Sorry if I offended your bandwidth.

The questions on my test (Michigan) were worded slightly different than yours.
The only one I got “wrong” out of 50 was #32 (in your post). Chose C.

I met a volunteer teacher at a Christian Sunday school in Canoga Park, Calif., she said she's foreigner, I ask her nationality, "... naturalized U.S. citizen now but native from Mexico." I asked a hyphothetical question, “who would you fight for if war between U.S. and Mexico would eventually erupt today?” She stumbled, nobody asked her that before. I asked, “didn't you swear your allegiance for the U.S.A.? And never again you'll say I'm foreigner.”

Was moving along quickly until this. What you say? Made me think as well. Think it through, US Citizens ONLY is the criteria. A reminder that some of our fellow FReepers get very exercised about Ted Cruz and John McCain in an aspect of this.
