I would like to point out a key issue in his homelessness... it is in NORTHERN ONTARIO.
There are many more beneficial local climates in which one could be homeless, and eliminate the survival concern of not freezing to death during ~1/2 of each year. I’m sure he could hitch a ride to one.

I know a few people like him, although without the large paychecks. I’m sure he has his own demons to fight just like the rest of us.
