IF Kelly gets that $$$, I would consider her entire term length of contract as NBC still being her employer-—and that she CANNOT work for anyone else.
In other words, she cannot double dip.
In 1983 I had a law suit in the $1-2 Million range and my lawyer[s] then were $500/hr each, and the guy I was suing was paying his prick lawyers $1,200/hr.
I eventually won, but when the dust settled, I ended up with about 33% and the lawyers got the rest.
They had the balls to invite me to a 'victory party' drinking Dom Perignon and eating lobster stuffed with king crab {they were paying}, I attended and went 'Full Roman' on them {look up vomitorium}.
Today's crooked lawyers can cost over $5,000/hr. and way more.
I think you put my point in much better context, and I agree with you.
Regarding who has the upper hand, if it gets to court it may be her, but I am assuming that NBC is going to try a weasel out on this as long as they can. I’m not sure they can stop payments, maybe they can, but when you’re talking about this much money, it would be stupid for them not to try to get out of it.
The larger thought to me is how stupid these network execs are. CLearly, NBC, MSNBC and CNN starting at the top, have decided to be anti-Trump completely. This is a stupid decision. Because they’re focusing on that fringe democrat out there.
If Trump were Democrat, they’d be singing his praises right now.
Kelly doesn’t deserve the money, and I predict will not get the money she has coming, but a small portion of it.
Lester Holt dressed up as a white women. He still has a job.

She'll get more than NBC wants to pay but less than she had coming to her.
The lawyers will win this one. They'll make out like banditos.
