I hope her contract has an attorney fees clause so if she has to sue she can claim her attorney fees as additional damages.
Here's a suggestion: Take her payoff out of the salary of whomever thought she would be a good addition and hired her.
She was being rewarded to attacking Trump.

I think you’re wrong. Sean Hannity showed a picture of Al Roker dressed up as Susan Boyle with white face. Ms. Kelly ought to consider using that in her exit talks.
No, if it can be shown that their efforts to stiff her and destroy her reputation was done with intentional malice... they could be liable for a lot more than the $69 Million her contract specified. Very few attorneys, even big time media attorneys are able to charge $500 to $1000 per man hour. The vast majority get a fraction of that.

In the end it is hatred for Donald Trump which will cost both sides, Megan, her career and NBC, its money.
I say let her keep her position. But move her set to alaska, and all she gets for equipment is an old uncomfortable chair and a camera from the 1960’s. And her staff is an Eskimo intern who can start the generator to power the equipment and point the camera in her direction.
Any day she shows up for work she will be on TV (and get paid). But a backup in LA will be prepared for those days she doesn’t feel like working.

Yep. Anyone could have predicted she did not have the right personality for the job. Daytime tv requires happy likeable people with a sense of humor. She has a prosecutorial style that was never going to work.

Yes, that’s why she got this deal.
But she did not tie the line on Kavanaugh. That’s why they used this reason to fire her.
Just as I predicted last week; NBC will attempt to use Kelly’s “blackface” comments as some sort of device to reduce her contract payout, claiming she violated some sort of provision in the deal. The network made a $69 million mistake, and they’re trying to cut their losses. However, I don’t think NBC can get rid of her without some sort of buyout, but they can certainly play the legal game for many months and force Kelly to spend a good chunk of her settlement on attorney’s fees.
When Kelly signed with NBC, I said she would be gone in 18 months. Looks like I was giving her (and the network) a little too much credit for trying to make that disaster work.
Much as I dislike Megyn Kelly, I absolutely hate the Nothing But Communists broadcasting network.
I hope she takes them for a ton of money.
