Megyn Kelly is off the air and heading toward the door at NBC, but it looks like any exit wont be as smooth as the former Fox News Channel host may have anticipated. Over the weekend and today, increasingly intractable NBC News boss Andy Lack has made it clear in talks with Kellys reps that a hefty payout for the rest of her $69 million contract is a non-starter, well-positioned sources tell Deadline.

That sounds very misogynistic to me.

NBC’s word means nothing. Who would have known?
My guess is that she wins this one easily.
NBC has the upper hand here. They can draw this out and bring her to the table. The worse that can happen is they have to pay her.
You can be sure her attorneys are going to charge $500 to $1000 per hour. That’s thousands per week, week after week. You can go thru 5 million in legal fees very fast.

Is it too much to hope that Andy Lack dies with Megyn Kelly’s teeth in his throat?
Missteps? They knew who she was when they hired her. And she is not racist nor was anything she said racist.
They’re trying to get rid of her because of who she is. She hasn’t changed.
They need to pay her and move on.
The upper hand?
Depends on what NBC has to hide.
Which is, I’m thinking, a heckuva lot.
Best that NBC can hope for is a deal with 69 million spread over 20 years....they were stupid to value her at such an amount.
I hope so, especially if it deals a crippling, if not fatal blow to NBC.
She wants $50 mil. Surely she violated some terms of her contract.
I’m just glad NBC has to deal with this garbage. Whoever loses, it’s still win, pass the popcorn.
And her lawyers,too.
No wonder they dont want to pay up. Tough. They signed the contract. She is ready, willing and able to perform under the terms of the contract and they breached. If I were her lawyer, Id inform them that doing anything other than paying the full contract amount was a nonstarter and if they did not like that, wed see em in court.
NBC should pay up.
National Socialist Broadcasting Company.
They will not win against her. $500/HR lawyers? Not even close
Those types of lawyers are nothing less than $2,400 to $4,000 hour.
