No argument there! And you’re not alone here. I should, actually, try to put her into better context than just that one debate...but it’s not easy!

I don’t see them as one and the same. I thought Carson was a vendetta looking for a situation to happen. I see Kelly’s situation as legitimate. She was merely recalling a time and place in her past. She wasn’t advocating for the use of blackface.
To quote The Smartest Woman in The World, “Dudnt matter. They all look alike.”
Don't see that happening but a result where NBC loses their shirts while Megyn becomes an unemployable pariah in her industry would be okay as second best.
Yeah, I know. When I was offered 69 million from my former employer to do nothing for the next 20 years, I was offended and told them to pound sand and demanded more. Alas, I am now just sweeping sand off the sidewalks in Long Beach since I lost the deal! :)

If this goes to court the jury might not be sympathetic to her, but they hate NBC even more. I bet that they would award her multiples of the 70 Million just to punish NBC.
I agreed with FREEPers that she was wrong for targeting Trump. I also think she was wrongly fired for those benign comments.
Carlson was a vendetta looking to happen. She wanted her “own show” (too big for Fox and Friends), so Roger Ailes gave her the 2 pm time slot. Carlson delivered the lowest ratings of any show on FNC, so the network decided not to renew her contract—happens all the time in broadcasting. Realizing no one was lining up to hire her, Ms. Carlson jumped on the #MeToo bandwagon and built a harassment case around a few ill-advised comments Ailes made to her.
Meanwhile, the younger Murdochs (having been forced out at Fox News a decade earlier) were back on the scene, ready to replace their father and anxious for revenge. Ailes’s comments gave them a reason for the next-gen Murdochs to engineer his ouster and they were happy to pay Carlson $20 million for her assistance.
Too bad Roger Ailes died a few months into his retirement. NDAs aside, he was always a street brawler and I truly believe he would have written a book providing his side of the story, one much different than what was reported in the press.
In one corner, naked, estrogen-charged, vengeful, narcissistic ambition.
In the other corner, a corrupt husk of a brand bleeding both money and relevance, mired in the tar of the politically correct mess of a culture they helped create.
This is going to be AWESOME!
That sums up Carlson nicely. Kelly actually had talent.
Nor do I lose sleep over it. NBC is about to lose 69 million dollars to Me-Again.

Not a Kelly fan BUT any slap to NBC is a good slap.

Kelly is exceptional when it comes to legal issues(Duke, Baltimore cops, Kavanaugh).
I actually hope Meagain takes them to the proverbial cleaners.
It’s all about the Benjamins. Media is a business, and she’s there to her share of the loot. The other sharks had best look out.
I hope she takes NBC to the cleaners. So sick of them destroying the careers of anyone slightly right of center off uttering the wrong WORD! The networks have sharpened political cleansing to a science!
