President Trump and Drudge worked beautifully together in 2016...or you can say DJT played him beautifully, whichever works for you.
But any die-hard Leftist will tell you (bitterly lol) that Drudge is to blame for our guy being in the White House.
Yeah, it is weird. It’s like he’s decided to start competing for Huffpo’s readers.
I still go there out of habit, but I’ve been trying to less. Even Rush mildly called him out a day or two ago, lumping him in with the headlines you see at fake news outlets suppressing all the good news, that you’d think the sky is falling if you only listened to them.

But you’d agree that it makes less sense that Drudge would start promoting leftists after Trump puts conservative win after win on the board than once skeptical Never-Trumpers coming around to him on that very record, right?
I don’t live and die by Drudge.
When I check him out once or twice a day it is not to see what is news but how the news is being played.
I grant you that I don’t understand Drudge’s motives except to the extent that he is seeking hits—dollars, nothing wrong with that—at least as much as he is looking for the “right” candidate.
Do I like that? Nope. But it’s his site.
That’s why I turn to Free Republic 100 times a day instead of one.
No one is arguing that he can’t do what he wants with his site. If he’s turned away from conservative advocacy to becoming a click whore, that’s his prerogative, but it’s also a valid point of discussion for the rest of us.
Drudge became anti-Trump with the whole Moore campaign, because Moore was anti-homosexual. And also when Trump said no more trannies in the US military.
I think knowing what the opposition thinks and plans to do is valuable intel. I appreciate that he keeps me informed and aware of the opposition mindset. This reinforces my will to oppose them.
Keeping your head in the sand or only talking to like minded individuals/websites is myopic and dangerous.

Has been like that for three years now. I get that the conservative media is getting squeezed—Drudge even made a rare appearance on (well, off camera but on) Infowars back in 2015 to warn Alex about it.
So I get if they are blackmailing him or whatever.
The most bizarre thing to me is how Drudge has simultaneously featured puff piece after puff piece on Javanka. That I just don’t get.
I still go there quite frequently, yeah he changed wish I knew why but he’s still way more trustworthy than the rest of the MSM.
I agree with you. I think people should bail if the site disappoints—to hell with him and his clicks.
I have to admit that it was through Drudge that I was introduced to FR, back in the Fake But Accurate days, and I’ve been grateful ever since
Maybe I overestimate him but, like Trump, he has good access to information and he’s shrewd. I don’t think he’s shed all his conservative instincts yet.
Probably just the age ole corruption of money, which is power to some people. His conservative hits had been dropping. I cannot stand his sites auto reload. Way too fast.
