It’s possible Trump and the RNC wanted a stealth win in Michigan similar to 2016.

If you alert the Dems, they bring in their ground game.

I’ve been praying for Trump to come here for weeks! James is a very strong candidate and could have easily taken down Stabenow with Trump’s RECENT (not April or August) visits to the state. So let’s ask God to intervene where Trump did not.

Pray!

My guess would be that these rallies were planned about two weeks out (with some room for adjustments) and at the time, they didn’t think James was competitive.

He’s still a long shot, but I think he will be a major GOP player in the future. He will be elected to office either today or in the next few years. Rock solid guy.

Not sure, but Kellyanne was here Sunday. She’s great at her job, but is that the best the administration could do? Not even Don Jr and Kimberly?

“Perhaps the polls show Stabenow very far ahead.”

Maybe because James is black and while it would make sense for Trump to rally there, the perceived optics of the left would take the attention away from James and lay a racist charge against Trump.

Good question. I;d guess the folks suggesting polls at time of event planning probably right.

If Mich,NJ.W.Va,Minn turn out to be close races (va,Pa,Wisc,OH also had nothing but double digits polls) then how would we know if the media suppressed enough R votes to have altered the outcome?

He went where the votes are.

I think that speaks volumes.

I too wish he had a rally with John. Even though I am not a Michigan voter I am $upporting John and today asked to volunteer with making phone calls for him, remotely from my house.
