You trust Graham? I sure as hell don’t. I’ll give him credit where credit is due during the Kavanaugh hearings, but I am a *long* ways away from trusting him.

Matthew G. Whitaker (born October 29, 1969) is an American lawyer and the acting Attorney General of the United States. He was appointed by Donald Trump to be the Acting Attorney General on November 7, 2018 following the departure of Attorney General Jeff Sessions from the Trump Administration.
Whitaker previously served in the Justice Department during the George W. Bush administration as the Chief of Staff to the Attorney General and as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa. Whitaker also ran as a Republican candidate in the June 3, 2014, primary election for United States Senate election in Iowa.

Its clear Sessions painted himself into a corner with his recusal and was never able in 2 years to figure a way out. He cost Trump 2 years of not having a functioning DOJ!
He shouldn’t have taken the job if he was going to be this “inflexible”. bBy doing so he allowed the continued the dysfunctional behavior of the DOJ, the FBI, and by not jumping on the problem immediately, likely has forever tainted the FISA system. Maybe to the point it must be disbanded, This we may pay dearly for in future with costly damaging “intelligence surprises”.

Absolutely true, for the AG job. One of Trump’s biggest mistakes in my opinion. But I don’t want to forget “Sessions the campaigner” as we hate “Sessions the AG”. 2 different jobs he has done for Trump.
My favorite attribute of Trump is the ability to pick the right man/woman for the job at any given time - and to make changes. Has any other president won with 3 different campaign managers? For whatever reason, Trump chose wrong with Sessions for AG.

Thank you for your comments on Sessions. I have been a fan of his for years, but sadly found him extremely lacking as AG. I have wondered if the job was above his abilities or that he just couldn’t bring himself to indict those he has worked with for years or if he or his family were threatened. Whatever the reason I wish he had had the dignity to resign as AG when he decided to recuse himself. We have lost precious time and negative attention because of his failure as AG.

SESSIONS WAS GREAT.
A politicized DOJ was the last thing Trump needed.
Of course now that’s changed with the Dems and media having the resources of the House at their command. In a war between the Executive and a crooked, rich elite with a legiskative branch in it’s hands Sessions is not the man to lead.
