I can’t imagine leaving my Country.
(I’m having a hard time committing to even leaving my State, Freak-State that it is...)
Those are where my roots, ideals and love are.
Brother.
My family has been in Walton County, Florida for over 200 years. After I got married and out of college, I lived all over the country.
There are more spectacular places and I actually liked everywhere I have lived but still, there is no place like home.
I have four Great Grandfathers who fought in the war Between the States and they are all buried here.
I know nothing at all about the food in Serbia. I will say I was surprised when he gave that as his answer when I asked him which country had the best food.
“What is an NDR?”
Non Disclosure Agreement. My company calls it a NDA.
“Depends on how much you value gun ownership.”
Based on that I would go to Costa Rica. Still good value, relatively safe, lots of beaches. Thing is you have to show that you have 75k in liquidity before being accepted as a citizen.
Used to be an ethnic Serbian restaurant in Chicago. Those two foods I mentioned were served there and were off the charts delicious.
I’ve always believed that the land that you were born into and raised in ‘gets into your blood’. You belong to it.
Some people can ‘detach’ - we’re all different.
I’m just not an easy one to detach ;-)
Poland for me.
An NDR is a Non Disclosure Agreement.
In it you agree not to disclose any company secrets, and to refrain from working in a competitive industry for the next five years. For instance, if you worked for GM, the NDR would prevent you from working at another automotive company for five years.
So if you were an expert in designing windshied wipers, you would have to find work in another industry that would utilize your skill set. Like Microsoft, or Dairy Queen.
For gun ownership, I would most certainly move to Thailand. They are much freer than Americans are, as far as gun ownership is concerned.
Except the inevitable 10 year coup.
Well I would have known if they had said NDA. Never heard it called an NDR. They are not honored in Right to Work states, BTW. I know because I challenged it here in Louisiana and won.
A ton of company’s have you sign your rights away upon employment, in a blur of legalese, even n right to work states.
Get yourself several patents on your own time? They belong to the company.
No kidding about the patents. I hold 11, and signed them away to the companies for a $1. Yet, I have NEVER received that dollar. It was never given to me.
Bastards! LOL
That’s a different story altogether. You can work for someone else, however, if you do divulge something that is theirs then you can be sued. But you cannot be forced to not work at the same type of job, or even work at the same place you worked at with a previous employer. I work as a consultant, and have worked at the same place of business with several different companies. One company threatened those that went with the new company, but they were denied possession of us like chattel. 8>)
Consulting comes with some freedom, good money and some BS along with filing taxes quarterly.
Germany was to be our bug out country. Nope, not anymore.
