And you can reverse engineer stuff, but they will fight you.

Especially if you get into their money stream.

America has a long history of after market improvements based on studying existing designs.

It aint easy though, once the bean counters smell lost money, here they come.

I'm a W2 consultant. I don't trust myself to send money in quarterly to any of the governments. 8>)

I actually end up making just about the same as I would going 1099. I know because some have told me what they are billing. They have to pay the entire amount for their healthcare and it's more than a group plan, and if I remember correctly they pay double on FICA taxes. I really do not remember all of the cons I found when trying to make the decision to go W2 or self employed. Perhaps the ones I knew just were selling themselves short, but if that was the case I probably would do the same. 8>)

Never assume that you are unemployable at age 60 or more and have to stick with a crappy job with sleazy crooked management.

Who the hell goes looking for a job at 60?! I retired the month I turned 60 and have never looked back. As a first generation American born to immigrant parents, I have European citizenship rights, but why would I ever want to live there? I'm staying right here in the good ole USA.

I’ll stand my ground and die on it if need be. Running ain’t my style.

I guess we’ll stand together then. My ancestors have been here before this country was a nation. I won’t dishonor their sacrifices by running.

You really should read the articles. The section on Japan (part two) is very long. Almost as long as the section on Brazil.

However comparatively, the Brazilian work environment is much more favorable to me than the Japanese work rules.

Though, those cute McDonalds workers in Japan are certainly adorable. The pictures say it all. Read the articles.

You know, it’s better to be prudent and have a “bugout” plan, even if you never hope to use it.

Right now, with walls going up, or plans to, and restrictions on using your passport (the IRS and the DNS), it does make sense to be ready “just in case”. Remember what happened to all those jews who left Germany in the 1930’s and moved to Poland? How safe was that?

How successful was Sessions in putting the Clinton’s and the the FBI, and the DOJ to account? How successful is Trump in repealing Obamacarefree? How successful the future looks with the ramping up of the antifa, the BLM and the SJW? It’s only going to get worse.

I don't know what would be a good bug-out country.

I thought about it quite bit, especially during the Obama years, but when Trump was elected and the economy surged, I stopped thinking.

However--the 2018 election demonstrated that Georgia, Florida, Texas, and Arizona are just a few fraudulent votes, a few illegal immigrants, or a few brain-washed "millennials" away from becoming California. I hate to be dismal, but I'm beginning to think of escape again.

Switzerland, Australia, and Canada would seem to be the logical places, but immigration there is strict-to-impossible.

I don't know about New Zealand.

I don't want to leave the USA, but I can't help thinking of some escape plan.

I suppose that if things got bad enough, there would be either a civil war or an American diaspora--either of which would be a disaster.

Any ideas?

I hear ya, friend.

Read both articles. You might find that there are some really great advantages to Cambodia. I myself, moved to China, but then again, that’s where all the industry is. So I at least have an income.

In my mind, the most important things are the pace of life...

and, how hard you have to work to just live basic.

In reading the articles you can see how the United States has corrupted and started to fall backwards with the destruction of the family, the insane work-place rules and regulations, and the assault in the most basic of freedoms.

I don’t like having to worry about being pulled over by the police and searched.

i don’t want to worry if I can afford and extra slice of cheese on my hamburger.

I most certainly want to drink my beer, outside on a beach, with my dog with a cute female beside me. If you don’t like that, well that is fine. We all have different priorities in life.

Let's face it, with our lax borders it's not the US anymore.

With skills you can go just about anywhere. Even if you don’t have any skills. Your ability to speak English as a native (being an American) will provide you with great opportunities all over the world.

Being prudent is important. Men must master and control our lies. We no longer can rely on “just” and “Godly” men to control our nation. Those days are numbered. I hate to be so negative, but really, look at the last election.

50%/50% split between liberal progressive millennials who want to go full-on Khmer Rouge and normal folk who just want to be left alone. What do you think is going to happen?

When the SJW folk took over China in 1966, 33 million Chinese died. That was terrible, and it set the nation back decades. Don’t be so sure that it won’t happen here. Every evidence I see in the news points to an eventual confrontation. It’s going to happen, and wishing it away is just deluding ourselves.

Come up with a bug-out strategy. Do not plan on sitting tight and riding it out. It didn’t work well for the Jews in the 1930’s. It didn’t work out well for the Cambodians. It didn’t work out well for the Chinese in 1966, and it will not work out well for us.

I have heard that Serbia is quite poor, and people grow a lot of their own food. Perhaps that contributes?

"Read the articles."

Ouch..! You got me.. I didn't read it. But I'm to old to move anywhere anyway.. :) I've lived and worked my whole life in the USA and I've been happier then a frog caught in a fly trap. And for that I thank God everyday!

There are two things that I wish I would have done in my life. Learn to sail and get a pilot's license... Those two skills could give a man freedom beyond his wildest dreams....

What do I think?

I think that everything you have said is absolutely true.

I think that President Trump is going to do his best to prevent such an apocalypse, but even he, a man of enormous resources and indomitability of spirit, can be overwhelmed. Whether or not he will be, remains to be seen.

It is frightening to contemplate, but America's salvation appears to depend upon the success of one man: Donald Trump.

America teeters on the brink of a precipice.

The 2018 election showed that Georgia, Florida, Texas, and Arizona are only a few fraudulent votes, a few illegal immigrants, or a few brain-washed "millennials" away from becoming California.

This is not lost on the violent Left. They are already preparing for the 2020 election.

The mob assault on Tucker Carlson and his family calls to mind of the scene in Lord of the Flies in which (I rely on memory) sadistic older boys threw rocks at the frightened children sleeping on the beach, intentionally not hitting them but only landing near them, a restraint depending only upon the vestiges of civilization remaining in the sadistic boys, vestiges that would quickly wane and disappear as they realized that the restraints of civilization (police, convention, social pressures, responsible and benevolent government, etc.) no longer existed--and then, the full violent savagery of their sadism was be released!

The mob at Tucker's house was restrained. They threatened him and his family but did not actually enter the house.

What happens when they are no longer restrained?

What happens when the sane states (Ga., Fla., Texas, AZ, etc.) are overtaken by the violent Left and the mob realizes that government no longer restrains their actions?

When the President and the Congressional Majority are themselves violent Leftists, who encourage the mob to follow them, get in their faces and when they go low we kick them--that sort of thing?

What happens when the violent mob no longer feels the restraints of civilization--and the full savagery of their sadism is released?

Everyone's address can be located via the internet.

I expect that if the apocalypse happens--if President Trump cannot prevent it--America will rapidly descend into a hellhole. Drug cartels, violent gangs, terrorists, savage mobs, other lawless factions will overwhelm America. The American People will be swept by confused alarms of struggle and flight as these ignorant armies clash.

The questions now are this:

If flight, where to?

If struggle, what hope is there of winning? Success would belong to whoever controls the military.

And if this beautiful the world, which once lay before all people like a land of dreams, various, beautiful, and new should fall into the abyss, it will not be with a melancholy, long, withdrawing roar, not in this fast moving world.

The time to make preparations is now, but what to do? where to go? where to find safety, certitude, peace, a place where the "just" and "Godly" are in control, where good and benevolent people can just be left alone?

You're right: Prudence is important. We must master and control our lives. And we must assure safety, liberty, and happiness for our families.

But how?

Where can we bug out?

With the rough beast, slouching toward America, now visible on the horizon, the time has come for lofty reveries to yield to practical considerations.

What can we do?

What do you say?
