I stumbled on a Fox news round table discussion hosted by Pete Hegseth that included, (Lone survivor) Marcus Lutrell, (Decorated Ranger Cpt.) Sean Parnell, (Medal of Honor recipient)Dakota Meyer and (Navy SEAL who fired the Bin Laden head shot) Robert O'Neill.
Patterned after the highly enjoyable "Wise Guys" show hosted by Bill Bennett this open discussion of heroes talking about serving their country and the disruptive force liberals in congress have become to protecting freedom was very refreshing TV in my opinion.
Two things got my attention.
1. The lack of "selfness" on display from these brave soldiers who all talked of the heroes around them who's names we don't know ...and-
2. What a mockery of these four soldier's bravery and fidelity a jerk like Geraldo would have turned it into by trying to brag about himself as much as possible.
When was it on and do you think it would be on video online? Sounds very good.
It showed twice in the evening on Veteran’s Day. I would think it might be found on Fox archives because I’ll bet they are getting plenty of comments. The pride in America, the humbleness of the entire group and their descriptions of what our flag means to them was stirring (to me).
Modern Warriors 11/11/18. Pete Hegseth Fox News | November 11, 2018
Best show ever!!!!
Its a Warrior Thing. Everyone a Warrior, including the host.
We should Thank God every day that we have men like this.
We watched this special as well.
Though I thoroughly dislike anything to do with war and battle, it understood as to why these things are necessary.
The host was excellent and the guests were insightful. Audience gained the opportunity to experience their thoughts and innermost feelings as to how they managed to face death and survive.
It was my understanding this Veterans Day special might be repeated in the future. Correct/or no??
He said, " a grizzly old vet told me what he remembered the most was "Hell Week".
"I asked him when he went through it and he said June 1944."
I replied, "There was no Hell Week in 1944"
He looked at me and said, "There was at Omaha Beach"
(That made shivers go up my neck)
Bkmk. Thanks.
It was great and they promised more with outtakes on FoxNation.com. I am going on that URL today to see more.
Thank you -
You bet, most welcome.
It wouldn't surprise me. They are getting a lot of positive response.
Veterans Day! This is a special day when a lot of brave young men and women joined a branch of military in honor of serving our country to protect our freedoms!
Just think of if we had a Socialist government we would have no freedoms, no rights to worship in a church, being constantly watched in our homes, executed for saying something against the Socialist government, having your government take your paycheck and allowing you very little to live on.
I thank God for my being in the greatest country on the face of the earth!
America should appreciate America’s freedom that we have!
As a vet who has served my country I am ashamed of those Americans who burn our flag, stomp on it, and use it for toilet paper! If you don’t love our country you are always free to move to another country where your freedoms are taken away!
Remember, a lot of vets have have gave it their all and died for you!
God Bless our vets and bless our Commander in Chief Donald J. Trump!
