Indeed...about 20 years ago when The Who started reissuing Leeds, someone got a hold of the 8-track master. They dumped it to a CD without any effects, warts and all, and put out a boot called "
Live at Leeds Complete". On YouTube you can find the tracks and, as you note, hear the edits, including a mild train wreck that was the TRUE ending of Magic Bus. Other notable edits include the removal of more jamming in Young Man Blues, several extra measures and an extended guitar-driven ending in My Generation, and a vocal miscue on Heaven and Hell. I prefer the dry and true mix of Complete to the reissues.
