The ratings for the most recent episode of “The Conners” are in, and they’re not looking good.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spinoff of ABC’s hit sitcom “Roseanne” plummeted to a season-low Tuesday night.
“The Conners” brought in a season-low 1.5 Nielsen Rating (which means 1.5 percent of the measured demographic tuned in), down 0.3 since last week. This comes out to an audience of about 6.90 million viewers, aged 18–49 years old.
This was an obvious disappointment compared to previous ratings. “The Conners” premiere raked in an impressive 7.5 rating back in early October. For comparison, the premiere of “Roseanne” brought in a monstrous 11.6 rating back in March.

Wonder if they will force another season because they know better than the viewers.
It’s in the top 10 ten shows for age range 18-49 and top 20 for all age groups.
It was a knee jerk reaction and capitulation to sjw 'outrage'.
Had ABC dismissed demands to fire Rosanne the show would likely have topped in the ratings with fan support.
The lesson here is not to give into the demands of sjw.
It's a lesson big companies will never learn.
Side with the scorpion and get stung.
ABC will try to hold on to it until people forget about it and quietly cancel it.
They will never admit their error and find a way to spin news of the cancellation on something irrelevant while praising themselves for 'doing the right thing' in firing Rosanne.
The network ordered only one additional episode for the second half of the season. One of two things will happen...either the full-up cancelation or a total revamp for October 2019.
I’ve only seen two clips of this season and tend to view it as a soap opera-like show with marginal humor. But like you suggest, the executives felt that the show could go on without Roseanne and they knew better than the public.
This is what we should do to Fox News.

They should cast Don Lemon ... he can say anything
They should bring Rosanne back from the dead.
No Roseanne, no ratings. Simple math.

It even looks like has beens have seen there days. When they outed Roseanne they lost their viewer base.
Every time I see a still photo from that show, all the actors look as though they are preparing for a funeral they really don’t want to attend.
They look to be in some kind of ‘bunker’, where all the walls and floors are dirty. Where the lights may go out (and stay out) at any moment.
