As a comparison, here's a reel of the digital effects from "Boardwalk Empire" which shows many of their boardwalk recreations and how they created them from small sets and lots of very good looking digital additions. See how you think it compared and whether they pulled it off or not. By the way, the music playing is the them from that show. I always disliked it, doesnt fit the period or mood of the show at all, IMHO.

A chilly day. I think the carts or rollers were called jitneys. Not only were people better dressed then but it was a real occasion to walk the boardwalk and see the sights. The boards have been replaced many times due to wear and hurricane damage; a lot of it was totally destroyed during the hurricane seasons of 1943-1960.

Watched it at bedtime last night, whomever did the conversion did a nice job! I didn't enjoy it that much because I found the camera-mugging people very irritating. :^)
